Additional Persecution News from China – December 24, 2014 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

14. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners' Cases Have Been Submitted to Court

1. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Huang Guixian in Critical Condition

Ms. Huang Guixian was brutally tortured in the Yang'ai Prison. She has lost all her teeth and can only take in liquid food. The public security hospital has issued a critical condition notice for her. Her family's application for medical parole for her has been declined.

2. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Mao Rui Detained

Mr. Mao Rui was arrested on December 17, 2014. He is being held in the Baoji No. 2 Detention Center.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Cao Yuqin Detained

Ms. Cao Yuqin from Taishitun Town, Miyun County, was arrested in September 2014 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. She was held in a brainwashing center for almost three months. She was transferred to the Miyun Detention Center several days ago.

4. [Funing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zha Shuyan Arrested

Ms. Zha Shuyan from Shimenzhai Town was arrested on the morning of December 23, 2014.

5. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Mingsheng's Three Motorcycles Taken

Mr. Wang Mingsheng is from Ruiyunguan Township. When he was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong, Shi Jianwei, deputy Party secretary of the Ruiyunguan Township, and others took his three motorcycles.

6. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tan Meili Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Tan Meili was sentenced to four and a half years in prison by the Xunyang District Court in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province.

7. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Weihua Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Weihua was arrested by officers from the Xiangzhou District 610 Office on the evening of December 15, 2014. She was taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center, officially known as the “Guangdong Province Legal Education School.”

8. [Jiahe County, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Xiongying Arrested

Ms. Li Xiongying was arrested by guards when she was outside the gate of the county government building on the evening of December 22, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Yongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhao Yuhu and Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhao Yuhu, Ms. Jiang Hongying, and others were arrested by officers from the Shengli Township Police Station on December 22, 2014. Mr. Zhao was held in the Yongning County Detention Center.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Chuanfen Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yao Chuanfen was arrested by officers from the 610 Office on the morning of December 22, 2014. She was taken to the Jinan City Brainwashing Center.

11. [Ningjin County, Hebei Province] Mr. Guo Xiuhuan Arrested

Ms. Guo Xiuhuan, 37, was arrested on July 16, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Xingtai Brainwashing Center. She was released after her family had 3,500 yuan extorted from them.

12. [Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Yang Yuping Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Yuping was arrested on November 22, 2013. She was recently sentenced to three years in prison. She is now being held in Suzhou Prison in Anhui Province.

13. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yanmei Still Incarcerated

Ms. Liu Yanmei, 49, a Falun Gong practitioner from Daqing City, was tried in Longfeng Court on December 18, 2014. She was detained for three months following her arrest on September 20 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is emaciated and very weak. She almost fainted several times during the trial.

The judge did not announce the verdict after the trial, and Ms. Liu was taken back to Daqing Detention Center, where she remains.

Her family is very worried about her.

14. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners' Cases Have Been Submitted to Court

Sanhe City Procuratorate submitted the cases of four practitioners to the Sanhe City Court on December 19, 2014. The procuratorate is believed to have done this under pressure from the Sanhe City 610 Office, as it returned the cases twice to the local Domestic Security Division due to “insufficient evidence.”

The four practitioners are Mr. Ma Weishan, Mr. Kang Jingtai, Mr. Wang Zhanqing, and Ms. Wen Jie.
