Additional Persecution News from China – December 23, 2014 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention and at least 9 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Lianhong and Ms. Lu Haoqing Arrested

Ms. Wang Lianhong and Ms. Lu Haoqing were arrested by officers from the Hongqiao District Police Station for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in September 2014. They are being held at the Hongqiao Detention Center.

2. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Lu Xueqin Tortured

Ms. Lu Xueqin was taken to the Shandong Women's Prison. Every day, she was pressured to “transform.” She became ill and was hospitalized for more than three weeks. She is now very weak.

3. [Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Ji Ping and Ms. Kang Ying from the Nianzishan District were arrested on November 25, 2014. They are being held at the Qiqihar No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Fengrong was arrested at home on the afternoon of December 11, 2014.

4. [Jilin, Jilin Province] Ms. Wei Xiujuan Arrested

Ms. Wei Xiujuan, a teacher at Beihua University, was arrested on December 13, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Dai County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuli Sentenced

Ms. Zhou Xiuli was sentenced to 3.5 years' imprisonment in November 2014. She is being held in Maoerling Women's Prison in Yuci.

6. [Gongyi, Henan Province] Ms. Yuan Li Arrested

Ms. Yuan Li was arrested on December 19, 2014, for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong.

7. [Yinchuan, Ningxia] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhao Yuhu and Ms. Jiang Hongying were arrested by the Yongning police when they distributed informational materials about Falun Gong on December 22, 2014.

8. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhao Tan Arrested

Officers from the Baigutun Township Police Station in the Wuqing District broke into Mr. Zhao Tan's home on December 18, 2014. They took Falun Gong books, pictures of Master Li Hongzhi, a cell phone, and other belongings. Mr. Zhao was taken to the police station but released later that day.

9. [Chongqing] Ms. Xiao Fengming Arrested

Ms. Xiao Fengming was arrested and taken to the Yuanyang Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong on December 15, 2014. She was released the next afternoon.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Xiufen Detained

Ms. Xu Xiufen from Liang Township in the Fangshan District was arrested by officers from the Changyang Police Station in Liang Township on October 26, 2014. She was taken to the Fangshan Detention Center.
