Additional Persecution News from China – January 22, 2015 (12 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 18 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cheng Xiaofeng, 51, Ms. Feng Yanyun, and her sister's daughter were arrested on the afternoon of January 18, 2015. The three were arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Liuzan Town, Caofeidian District. They were released that evening.

2. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Guoxiang Arrested and Ms. Song Xiuying Detained

Ms. Gao Guoxiang and Ms. Song Xiuying, in her 60s, were arrested by officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station on the afternoon of January 18, 2015. They were arrested for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

Ms. Gao was taken to the Dezhou City Detention Center, and 500 yuan was extorted from her family. Ms. Song is being held at the Lingcheng District Detention Center.

3. [Jingshan County, Hubei Province] Mr. Xiang Kelin Arrested

Mr. Xiang Kelin was arrested by officers, including Peng Yilin from the Xinshi Police Station, on the morning of January 18, 2015. The police ransacked his home and confiscated three computers and table calendars with information about the persecution of Falun Gong on them. Mr. Xiang was taken to the Jingshan No. 2 Detention Center on January 21, 2015.

4. [Lanling County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu Shujuan was arrested on the evening of January 17, 2015. She is being held at the Linyi City Detention Center. Mr. Xu Qixian, Mr. Li Zengpu, and Mr. Meng Fei were arrested and are being held at the Lanling County Detention Center in Linyi City.

5. [Beijing] Ms. Guan Xiurong Arrested

Ms. Guan Xiurong was arrested on January 5, 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Men Yongti and Ms. Qi Shuyun Detained

Mr. Men Yongti and Ms. Qi Shuyun were arrested by officers from the Yidao Police Station and Laizhou City Police Department on the morning of January 20, 2015. They were arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Both are being held at the Laizhou City Detention Center.

7. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Fourteen Practitioners Arrested, Most Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Dong Jinfu, Mr. Zhang Baogui, Mr. Fu Lianhua, Ms. Sun Meixiu, Ms. Zhang, Ms. Nan Xiaofu, Mr. Zhu Xiangkuan, Ms. Wang Yueling, Ms. Li Aiju, Ms. Sang Ping, Ms. Li Hong, Mr. Shi Luwen, Mr. Sun Baoquan, and Ms. Xing Xiaoling were arrested by officers from the Luochengjieban Police Station in Shouguang City on January 17, 2015.

One was released, and the other practitioners are being held at the Shouguang City Brainwashing Center, except Mr. Shi, Mr. Sun, and Ms. Xing who are being held in Weifang City.

The whereabouts of Mr. Zhang Naicheng has been unknown since April 2000. At that time he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong.

9. [Lishui City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Hu Nanling in Critical Condition

Ms. Hu Nanling was put on trial for the second time and sentenced to prison for three years and six months. This occurred in the Jinyun County Court on the morning of January 19, 2015. Ms. Hu has difficulty walking, sitting in a chair, and lifting her head due to persecution. Her physical condition is critical.

10. [Beijing] Mr. Xu Dafang Detained

Mr. Xu Dafang was arrested in March 2014 for speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is being held at the Fengtai Detention Center.

11. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Wang Bingde and Ms. Shi Chunping Arrested

Mr. Wang Bingde and Ms. Shi Chunping were arrested at Mr. Wang's home by officers from the Yangquan City Police Department and Nanshan Police Station on the evening of January 19, 2015. The police confiscated printers, computers, recorders, cell phones, and other personal items.

12. [Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Deng Zhiqing Detained

Ms. Deng Zhiqing was arrested on January 15, 2015 and is being held at the Yangshan Detention Center.
