Five Practitioners from Lanzhou City Face Trial

(Minghui.org) Five Falun Gong practitioners from Lanzhou City, who were illegally arrested on September 15, 2014, face trial after having been detained for about four months. The Procuratorate will submit their case to the district court before January 18, 2015.

The five practitioners are Ms. Wang Yurong, Mr. Meng Yurong, Ms. Tu Yuchun, Ms. Jiao Lili, and Ms. Du Shuzhen.

The 5 practitioners were among the more than 10 practitioners arrested that day by the Domestic Security Division (also known as the 26th Section of Lanzhou). The large-scale operation was carried out under the orders of the 610 Office of Gansu Province and Lanzhou City.

The practitioners were sent to the Lanzhou City No. 1 Detention Center on September 16, and their families received the Notice of Detention issued by the Lanzhou Police Department that day and the following day.

The Lanzhou City Procuratorate approved the practitioners' arrests one month later, on October 15, and the Notice of Arrest was delivered to their families on October 17.

The 26th Section submitted the five practitioners' cases to the Chengguan District Procuratorate on December 18. Prosecutor Zheng Mingji of the Prosecution Division is in charge of their cases. The cases will be processed as one case.

The five practitioners are still held at the Lanzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.
