(Minghui.org) I will never forget that day in April 2014 as long as I live. On that day I was saved from being crushed to death underneath a train, or at least having my legs cut off. Because I asked for help from the founder of Falun Dafa (referred to as Master by Falun Dafa practitioners), he saved me.
Falun Dafa Family
My father is a Falun Dafa practitioner. He often taught us children about the principles of Falun Dafa, which are Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He also told us about the standards of conduct for being human. I have always believed that Dafa is good, and I used to help my father with Dafa activities such as downloading Minghui articles and sending in lists of names of those who quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliates.
Trouble Afoot
I have been a train conductor for more than 20 years. I was training an apprentice in April 2014. I was working overtime and was exhausted. By the time I had worked 20 hours, it was time to go home.
I decided to catch a free train ride home at NZ station. No heavy load freight trains stopped at that station, so we decided to hitch from a train outside the station, which is illegal.
I called the train conductor (a friend of mine) and told him to slow the train down. We decided to jump on, since the train would slow down to around 10 kilometers an hour. I didn't think it would be a problem because I had done this before.
We waited on either side of the train. My apprentice jumped on easily, but I did not. The ground was gravel, which made me hesitate to jump, and I couldn't get a good grip. I knew this was not a good position to be in. Based on my experience, this situation generally leads to death or severed legs. I was hanging onto the train by my hands with feet still dangling.
True Belief Versus Tragedy
The train picked up speed, and I thought I was done for, because I began to lose my grip. I was then pulled under the train. I yelled out, “Master, help me!” As I skidded along the ground, it felt as if a pair of big hands grabbed my shoulders and dragged me out from underneath the train. The train flew by.
I turned around, stood up, and I checked myself carefully: All my limbs were still there. I kept saying, “Thank you, Master! Thank You, Master!”
My friend called to me. “Are you all right?” he asked. “You scared me to death!” I told him I was fine. “You carry on. No need to worry about me,” I said.
In hindsight I was really scared. Thank goodness it was me—I cannot imagine if that had happened to my apprentice!
Thank you, Master of Falun Dafa!
