Additional Persecution News from China – January 10, 2015 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 1 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Yuxiang Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuxiang was arrested on January 7, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and distributing "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" DVDs.

2. [Jiyuan City, Henan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Dongling, Ms. Yin Libo, Ms. Chang Lihua, Ms. Li Bingling, and Mr. Wu Zhenyu, arrested at the end of February 2014, are being held at the Jiyuan Detention Center.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Li Detained

Ms. Zhang Li was arrested by officers from the Zhimadun Police Station on the evening of January 5 2015, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Linyi City Detention Center.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Jinghong Detained

Ms. Wang Jinghong was arrested on January 5, 2015, and is to be held at the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days.

5. [Mei County, Guangdong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yuanyuan and another practitioner were arrested in Yujiang Town on January 8, 2015.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Shuhai Arrested

Mr. Zhang Shuhai was arrested on January 4, 2015.

7. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xizheng Facing Trial

Ms. Zhang Xizheng, arrested on May 16, 2014, is being held at the Yishui County Detention Center. She was put on trial by the Linyi City Intermediate Court on January 12, 2015.

Ms. Liu Yan, Ms. Xiao Yan, and Ms. Yang Huilan and her daughter were arrested on January 8, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Songzi City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Xiao Xuexiang, Ms. Yang Jutai, and Mr. Li Mingyuan were arrested by officers from the Zhichanghe Town Police Station on January 8, 2015, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Songzi City Detention Center.

10. [Dengta City, Liaoning Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Guan Ping, 57, and Ms. Ma Fengju were arrested by officers including Chen Dalei from the Huazi Police Station on December 18, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were held at the Liaoyang City Detention Center. Ms. Ma was released on December 25, 2015 and Ms. Guan is still being held.
