(Minghui.org) There was a time when we could practice Falun Gong without being harassed or mistreated. I remember my family and me feeling so honored to attend Master Li Hongzhi's lectures at Dalian Stadium. It was the last lecture before he stopped teaching the Fa in mainland China.
Before practicing Falun Gong, I had heart disease, stomach problems, gynecological issues, Meniere's syndrome, and sinusitis. Within six months of practicing Falun Gong, I returned to good health. My husband, too, was no longer bothered by cirrhosis, and our daughter experienced a state free of illness.
When influenza swept across our city in March 1996, my colleagues came down with it, but I remained healthy. My employer thought it was amazing and gave permission to host Falun Gong seminars in its building.
Facing Imprisonment with Righteous Thoughts
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) initiated its persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, I was imprisoned for almost 10 years. While in prison, I recited the poems from Hong Yin to strengthen my righteous thoughts. Because I was steadfast and unwilling to cooperate with my persecutors, I was not only in good health but also surrounded by a strong energy field.
One day, a guard was shocked by electricity surrounding me and screamed when she touched me. None of the guards dared to approach me because they knew that I had extraordinary abilities.
I wish to share some other stories about inmates who experienced the wonders of Falun Gong after reciting Hong Yin.
Inmate: "I Have Been Waiting for You"
Inmate Xiao said to practitioner Azhen: “I had a dream two months ago. I saw you in a house surrounded by a fence, and a voice told me that you were my savior. Now I have met you and know that I wasn't released earlier because I needed to meet you.”
Azhen told Xiao about the persecution of Falun Gong, taught her the exercises, and helped her memorize poems from Hong Yin. Xiao was very sincere in wanting to learn everything she could about Falun Gong. One night, she saw Master Li in her dream, and he encouraged her to keep reciting the poems.
Since Azhen had not memorized all the poems in Hong Yin, Master arranged for me to be moved into her cell. We then helped Xiao memorize all 72 poems. We also helped her memorize over 30 short articles written by Master.
“Now I know everything,” she told us. “In fact, Falun Gong is here to offer salvation to mankind. I must cultivate well and return to heaven with Master. Although I've obtained the Fa quite late, I will look for Falun Gong books once I'm released.”
“I'll tell people that Falun Gong offers salvation to people and has nothing to do with politics. I will tell everyone so that they don't persecute practitioners.”
Xiao was released shortly after she started practicing Falun Gong.
Three Flowers Gathering Above the Head
Zhang, an older lady, was assigned to monitor me for over eight months, so I helped her memorize 30 poems from Hong Yin and some short articles written by Master.
One day, she told me she saw three balls spinning above her head, which scared her. I explained that she might have experienced the situation called “three flowers gathering above the head,” which Master Li mentions in Zhuan Falun.
Scaly Skin Turns Smooth
An inmate in her thirties was assigned to monitor me when I was held in solitary confinement. After I taught her to recite 30 poems from Hong Yin, her skin, which looked like fish scales before, turned smooth and shiny.
Another time, she was just about to argue with someone when she suddenly heard a voice: “Wouldn't what you've learned end up in vain if you fought with her?” She asked, “What have I learned?”
The voice answered, “What have you been reciting?” Immediately, she understood and chose not to fight.
Memory Returns
Another inmate suffered a mental breakdown because she was innocent. She then had problems remembering things and acted as if she were slow. However, her memory rapidly returned once she met up with practitioners.
I taught her to recite the first poem in Hong Yin. At first, she had some difficulty, but after a few tries she could remember it. She said she was once taught to recite this same poem by another practitioner, and then her third eye had opened. She saw beautiful mountains, lakes, and other scenes on the walls of the cell.
When we closed our eyes to recite that poem one day, she said, “I see a Tathagata Buddha. He is so tall.” I said, “Don't get excited. Let's watch silently.” Then, she told me she also saw a Bodhisattva, the Eight Immortals, emperors from different dynasties, soldiers and their horses, modern people, cars, and mankind's history.
