Police Illegally Taking Blood Samples and Fingerprints of Practitioners

September 05, 2014 |   By a Minghui practitioner from Guizhou Province, China

(Minghui.org) Organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners has been publicized for over ten years, with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime still denying that such activities take place. However, signs that this atrocity is still going on have come to light and are being shared with the world.

For example, police have gone to practitioners' homes, drawn blood and taken their fingerprints against their will without giving any reason. Even an 80-year-old practitioner was not spared. In some cases, officers missed some of the practitioners, so they drew blood from their family members.

Similar cases have been reported in many of China's localities this year. The Minghui website reported about such incidents mainly in Guizhou and Liaoning Provinces. Some officers claimed that the orders were from higher ups.

In Duyun City, Guizhou Province, police and local authorities have drawn blood samples and fingerprints of several dozen Falun Gong practitioners since March of this year. They repeatedly harassed practitioners and deceived them with various schemes.

Ms. Chen Dingyuan, in her 60s, is a practitioner living in Duyun City. Police Officers went to her home several times from April to July of this year. They tried to make her provide a blood sample. Ms. Chen rejected their demands and explicitly told them that they are persecuting practitioners.

Ms. Chen was taking a nap around 1 p.m. on August 13 when a woman knocked at her door and asked for her. Her husband opened the door believing that it was a neighbor. As soon as the door opened, about eight fully armed police officers stormed into the home.

Qin Xiaochun, director of the Domestic Security Division of the Duyun Police Department, and Xiang Guo, secretary of the Xiaoweizhai Town Political and Legal Affairs Committee were in charge of the group of police. Present was also a female officer, and an officer who made a video of the proceedings.

Several officers dragged Ms. Chen out of bed and out of her home, and then pushed her into a police car. Two officers sat on each side of her and held her down. The remaining police ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books and printouts.

On the way to the police department, Ms. Chen tried to reason with them. In the police department, Ms. Chen did not cooperate with having her blood drawn and repeatedly said, “Falun Gong is good. Persecuting practitioners will meet with retribution.”

Qin Xiaochun turned violent and beat her viciously, “I do persecute Falun Gong, so what? I will beat you to death. So what? I am not afraid of retribution.”

Other officers drew her blood and took her fingerprints while Qin was beating her.

Ms. Chen was released after 4:00 p.m..
