610 Office: “No Need to Comply with the Law in Falun Gong Cases”

(Minghui.org) “We don't need to comply with the law when dealing with Falun Gong cases. And there's no need to inform families,” replied an official from the Fu'an 610 Office. This was his response to practitioners' families when they demanded an explanation for their relatives being secretly sentenced.

Three practitioners were arrested in February and March 2014. The court secretly sentenced them to three years in September 2014, without informing their families.

Ms. Lin Xiuju (林秀菊), 37, was arrested at her home on February 28 by officers from the Fu'an Domestic Security Division. Her house was ransacked. She was transferred to the Ningde City Domestic Security Division five days later.

Ms. Gao Su (高素), around 58 years old, was arrested at her home on February 21 by officers from the Fu'an Domestic Security Division. She was severely tortured in an attempt to extract a confession, which resulted in her losing consciousness. She was then taken to a hospital for emergency treatment. During her detention, Huang Guangtang, the head of the Fu'an 610 Office, tried to make her write a guarantee statement to give up her belief. She refused.

Ms. Huang Julan (黄菊兰), 66, was arrested on the morning of March 23 while handing out Shen Yun DVDs. Her house was ransacked. She is being held at the Fu'an Detention Center.

The local Procuratorate issued the arrest warrants for the practitioners. They are all being held at the Fu'an Detention Center.
