Additional Persecution News from China – September 12, 2014 (18 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Lianhong, Ms. Lu Yuqing, and Ms. Zhou from the the Hexi District were arrested by officers from the Xiyuzhuangzi Police Station in Hongqiao District on September 8, 2014. They are being held in the Hongqiao Police Department Detention Center.

2. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Caihui Detained

Ms. Yang Caihui was arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong at the Tieling Train Station on the morning of September 2, 2014. She was taken to the Tieling Detention Center. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and informational materials about Falun Gong were confiscated on the afternoon of September 10, 2014.

3. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Guanghui Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Li Guanghui was arrested at home by agents from the Beihu Political and Legal Affairs Committee of Chenzhou and the 610 Office on the morning of September 10, 2014. She was taken to the Hengdong Brainwashing Center.

4. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Hong Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Yang Hong was sentenced to three years in prison with five years probation in Weidong Court on September 4, 2014.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Aifeng Detained

Ms. Dong Aifeng from Laiyang was arrested by agents from the Laiyang 610 Office and Domestic Security Division on August 21, 2014. She is being held in the Yantai Detention Center.

Ms. Li Youying from the Wuchang District was recently arrested.

7. [Dandong, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cui Zhencheng and Ms. Li Shuxiang Sentenced to Prison

Both Mr. Cui Zhencheng and Ms. Li Shuxiang were sentenced to two years in prison on August 19, 2014.

8. [Beijing] Mr. Lu Zuochun Detained

Mr. Lu Zuochun, 53, from Xingcheng in th Fangshan District, was arrested by officers from the Xingcheng Police Station for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on June 20, 2014. He was taken to the Fangshan Detention Center, and on July 22, 2014 transferred to the Beijing No.1 Detention Center.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Bai Yumei and Ms. Bai Shengzhen Detained

Ms. Bai Yumei and Ms. Bai Shengzhen from Shalawusu Village in Yuanbaoshan Town were arrested on the afternoon of September 11, 2014. They are being held in the Pingzhuang Detention Center.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Wei Lirong and Ms. Huang Arrested

Ms. Wei Lirong and Ms. Huang from Xinhezhuang in the Tangu District were arrested and taken to the Xinhe Police Station for talking about Falun Gong on the evening of September 10, 2014. Ms. Huang was released that evening. Ms. Wei is being held in the Xinhe Police Station.

11. [Dongguan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Ye Yongfeng Detained

Ms. Ye Yongfeng from Yantian was arrested by local officers on September 3, 2014. She is being held in the Dongguan Detention Center.

12. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Fengdi Arrested

Ms. Li Fengdi from Maoming City was arrested and taken to the Shenzhen Police Department for explaining facts about Falun Gong in Shenzhen on September 10, 2014.

13. [Jimo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Su Wen Tortured in Prison

Ms. Su Wen is being held in the No.11 Ward of the Shandong Provincial Prison. The guards tied her to a chair with a restraining strap during the daytime to try to force her to renounce her belief.

14. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yue Yuling and Ms. Fu Xiangli Detained

Ms. Yue Yuling and Ms. Fu Xiangli from Yangjiazhangzi Economy Development Zone were arrested at home by community agents and officers on September 10, 2014. They are being held in a brainwashing center located at the Maoqitun Detention Center.

15. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Shengchi Tortured in Prison

Mr. Zhang Shengchi was taken into the Shandong Provincial Prison on May 13, 2014. He was put in solitary confinement, sprayed with hot chili water, and shocked with electric batons for protesting that he was being treated like a criminal.

16. [Huangshan City, Anhui Province] Mr. Xu Jiquan Arrested

Mr. Xu Jiquan, in his 60s, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division for talking about Falun Gong in early September 2014.

17. [Yangxin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiaorong Arrested

Ms. Xiaorong, in her 50s, was arrested for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on September 10, 2014. Her home was ransacked. Two printers, a computer, and Falun Gong books were confiscated.

18. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Huang Shilian Arrested

Ms. Huang Shilian was arrested by officers from the Zhugen Police Station for raising awareness of the persecution of Falun Gong on the morning of August 8, 2014. Her cell phone was confiscated.
