(Minghui.org) Cathy could not help her tears as she stood in front of a poster display in downtown Auburn, Australia. Through photos, illustrations and text, the posters exposed the brutal 15-year persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

“How can those people apply these tortures to others?” Cathy asked, her voice breaking with emotion. “I will let all my friends and neighbors know about this, and urge them to sign the online petition. This evil persecution must be stopped.” Wiping away her tears she added, “We cannot let it happen in the 21st century.”

On September 14, Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney held an event in Auburn to expose the brutality of the persecution and to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party's forced organ harvesting from persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. Their peaceful call for justice was supported by the local citizens. Many people signed the petition and a number of local Chinese quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

Cathy likened the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to the Nazi's atrocities against the Jews. “My heart is broken. Normal humans wouldn't even apply these tortures to animals.”

She encouraged the practitioners to hold similar events, as she believes that the more people know about the CCP's crimes, the sooner the persecution can be stopped.

One of the practitioners taking part in the event, Alice said, “We have collected many signatures against the persecution. I tell everybody what Falun Gong really is, and why practitioners have been persecuted in China. I also tell people that Falun Gong is a precious gift—everybody can learn it and practice it for free. Our workshops are always free of charge.

“At today's event many people asked me about learning the Falun Gong exercises, where they are taught and what time we have workshops, etc.”

Many Chinese people also talked to practitioners at the event, and some of them quit the communist party and its affiliates.
