(Minghui.org) On August 5, 2014, I went to a construction site to distribute truth-clarification materials. Two security guards, one in his 50s and the other in his 60s, were sitting by the gate. I planned to explain the facts to them first and then talk to the workers inside.
I took out a book, entitled Where to Hide When Catastrophe Comes, walked up to the two men, and smiled: "Hello. May I recommend a book to you?"
One guard stood up and said, "Is it about Falun Gong?" "Yes," I answered. "It tells you the truth about Falun Gong."
They thanked me and invited me to sit down. They asked me if I had any DVDs that taught the Falun Gong exercises. I said, "It looks like you already know about Falun Gong." They told me that they knew that Falun Gong teaches people to be good and they had gotten booklets and DVDs from other practitioners. "We read and watched them all," they said.
I explained that Falun Gong is the Buddha Fa and saves people. I asked them not to throw away the materials when they finish reading them but to give them to others.
One of the men said, "The workers can take them if they like." I asked, "May I give them some?" He answered, "Go ahead. As long as I'm on duty, you can distribute materials here anytime. I can guarantee your safety."
I was touched and said, "You are really a good person. You will have good fortune."
I went to the workers' dormitory. It was evening and most of them were in the dorm. There were about 8 people in each room. I gave each room 1 to 3 books and suggested they take turns reading them. I found that I hadn't brought enough materials with me.
Because there were no TVs or computers at the job site, the workers had nothing to do in the evenings and were very happy that I brought them reading materials.
When I walked out, I saw one of the guards patrolling the building. He saw me and nodded, "You can go now." I didn't say anything. A "thank you" would not adequately express my praise for his righteous act. I thought: What a precious life! When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is madly persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, he made a righteous choice. This is a great person, whom even the gods admire.
I went back the next evening and brought exercise DVDs for the two guards. They were very happy and invited me to sit inside the guard room. I could see that they wanted to talk to me. One of them said that his back often hurt. I told him he should practice Falun Gong. He said, "One of our colleagues is off work now. All three of us want to practice Falun Gong. Do you think Falun Gong can really heal me?"
Before I could answer, he continued, "I know someone who was bedridden for a long time and even hospitals refused to take him. He was so thin and looked terrible. We thought he was going to die. After he practiced Falun Gong, he soon recovered. If I hadn't witnessed it myself, I might have believed what was said on TV [referring to the CCP's slanderous propaganda]. That man is not only healthy now, but his temper also improved. I truly believe that Falun Dafa is good. The CCP has done so many bad things and they lie all the time!"
I asked them whether they had quit the CCP. They hinted that they had. I told them that they should read Zhuan Falun first if they wanted to learn Falun Gong. I said that Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice of mind and body, and that they should read the book to learn how to cultivate. "I'll come back another day to show you the exercises," I promised. We chatted for about 40 minutes. When I left, they walked me out past the gate.
All lives need Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Despite the CCP's persecution, people long for the Buddha Fa with all their hearts. Right will defeat wrong. Truth is eternal.
