As Mr. Huang Junliang and his family got into their car on July 8, officers from the Chibi City 610 Office, the Domestic Security Department, and the police station, who had been lying in wait, ambushed them.
Mr. Huang's son, a university student, was shoved to the ground and handcuffed. They also pushed Mr. Huang's wife, who fell head first and cut her ear. Mr. Huang was arrested and taken to Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
Mr. Huang Junliang, who is in his 50s, is from Chibi City. He has been arrested more than once since the persecution began in 1999. He was beaten and tortured in detention centers.
Arrest Details
When Mr. Huang's family went out as usual at 8 a.m. on July 8, they didn't expect Chibi City 610 Office agents to be waiting for them. His wife and son were petrified.
The officers first ordered Mr. Huang and his son to get out of the car. The young man knew he had not done anything wrong, so he refused to get out. The police then dragged him out of the car.
As he was trying to resist, the officers handcuffed him and shoved him down to the ground. They tore his shirt off in the struggle, stomped on his back, and tried to drag him to their police vehicle. By then the neighbors had gathered and condemned what they were doing, so the police released Mr. Huang's son.
When Mr. Huang's wife tried to help her son, they pushed her. Her head hit the ground, and her right ear sustained an inch long cut. There was blood all over the ground.
One neighbor walked up and asked, "What's going on? Are you arresting these people?" Another neighbor came up and tried to stop them: "She suffers from migraines. If you fractured her skull, how will you handle the consequences?" Police officers responded by shouting at them: "This is not your business, go mind your own business!"
The police arrested Mr. Huang and took him to Wuhan Brainwashing Center.
Held and Brutally Beaten Several Times Previously
In March 2000, Mr. Huang and other practitioners went to Beijing to appeal to the government for the right to practice Falun Gong. When they got to the Xianning District, the police arrested them and held them in Chibi Detention Center.
They were stripped naked and doused with cold water. They did not stop until the practitioners lost consciousness. They said that this was their way of "greeting" newcomers.
The practitioners were made to line up against the wall. The guards then had big strong inmates hit them in the chest, and then made the practitioners turn around, so that the inmates could hit them in the back. They hit the practitioners' chests seven times and their backs eight times.
The head of the inmates follows the guards' orders. If a practitioner was caught doing the exercises, they beat him for a long time. The practitioner had to face the wall, standing as close to the wall as possible with his arms out straight, and kneel down. Then the inmates would kick his feet. Mr. Huang was in so much pain that he began to sweat. When he couldn't stand it anymore and moved, the inmates beat him until he passed out.
In late October 2000 when Mr. Huang Junliang was handing out Dafa flyers and clarifying the truth, he was put in a forced labor camp. Since he would not cooperate in the interrogation room, guard Ye Jun closed the door, and he and another guard Cai Jinping had him sit on the chair. They held his shoulders, and then pounded Mr. Huang in the chest with their knees. Mr. Huang still did not cooperate, so the guards began to kick the back of his neck and ears. He didn't move or make a sound.
Exhausted by their efforts, the guard said, "If you don't say anything, we will beat you to death. That is an order from above. No matter where you go to try to sue us, you won't win." They forced him to continue to kneel against the wall and kicked him in the back all afternoon. When he started bleeding from the mouth, Cai Jinping finally told Ye Jun to stop and had someone take Mr. Huang to a cell.
After he got back to the cell, Mr. Huang had trouble breathing. He felt a burning sensation in his chest. When he unbuttoned his shirt, he saw that his entire chest was swollen. The next day, it was dark purple. After spitting up blood for 15 days, it finally cleared up.
On August 1, 2009, when Mr. Huang and other practitioners were accompanying Mr. Zhong Shoubang's mother and younger brother to Shayang Forced Labor Camp to visit Mr. Zhong, police officers from Shayang City arrested him.
Mr. Huang was held in Shayang Police Station and Chibi City Detention Center. H began a hunger strike and was force-fed. Because he shouted "Falun Dafa is good!" they put him in shackles and treated him even worse.
