Junan County: 677 People Sign Petition to Demand Falun Dafa Practitioners' Release

(Minghui.org) Ms. Liu Li and Ms. Wang Xixia have been illegally held for over six months in a detention center. A total of 677 people from Junan County recently signed a petition asking for their release.

Ms. Liu and Ms. Wang, from Junan County, Linyi City, were illegally arrested on the morning of January 16, 2014, while distributing truth clarification materials in Ganyu County in Lianyungang City. They are being held at the Xishan Village Detention Center in Lianyungang.

Ms. Liu and Ms. Wang were tried for the second time on July 15, 2014, at Ganyu County Court. Their lawyer made a not guilty plea, and requested that they be released, but the judge didn't make a ruling that day.

Afterwards, both of the practitioners' families went to the court twice to inquire about the results and request to release them, but to no avail.
