Additional Persecution News from China – August 17, 2014 (17 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jiexi County, Guangdong Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wu Shuqin and Ms. Li Meihong were arrested at home by officers from the Jiexi Domestic Security Division on August 12, 2014. Their homes were ransacked.

Mr. Liu Shaopeng and Ms. Xia Shaofang from Xiangpan Area, Jieyang City were also arrested at the materials production site. Their whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ning Yan and Ms. Cao Shujie Arrested

Ms. Ni Yan from Xi'an District, about 50 years old, was arrested on August 12, 2014.

Ms. Cao Shujie was also arrested the same day. She is being held at the Mudanjiang Detention Center.

3. [Changsha County, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhang Keyue Arrested

Mr. Zhang Keyue from Jinjing Town, Changsha County, about 60 years old, was followed and arrested by police on August 12, 2014. His whereabouts is unknown.

4. [Shaodong, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Guilian Arrested

Ms. Wang Guilian from Niushan Village, Shuidongjiang Town, Shaodong, about 60 years old, was recently arrested at home. Her whereabouts is unknown.

5. [Wenshang County, Shandong Province] Arrest of Cao Li

Ms. Cao Li was arrested by officers from the Wenshang County Police Department for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on August 14, 2014. She was sent to the Jining City Detention Center early the next morning.

6. [Anqiu, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Shuhua Detained

Ms. Yang Shuhua was arrested by officers from the Chengbei Police Station in Anqiu when she was telling people about software to break through the Internet blockade on the morning of August 16, 2014. She is being held at the Chengbei Police Station.

7. [Shaodong County, Hunan Province] Mr. Luo Anqiu Detained

Mr. Luo Anqiu from Shizhuqiao Township, Shaodong County was taken to the Shaoyang Brainwashing Center on the morning of August 13, 2014.

8. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. She Yue Detained

Mr. She Yue was taken to the Concentrated Training Team of Nantong Prison in Nanguanling on August 14, 2014.

9. [Changzhou, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Recently Arrested

Ms. Chen Juehui was arrested in August 2014. Ms. Ji Fengying was arrested on August 10, 2014. Her home was ransacked. She was released three days later.

Ms. Wang Xingxiu was arrested on August 12, while Ms. Lu Yaqin was arrested on August 15, 2014. Their homes were ransacked.

10. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Shuyun Arrested

Ms. Sun Shuyun was arrested after she went out on August 14, 2014.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Aiju Arrested

Ms. Li Aiju, about 50 years old, was arrested by officers from the Tucheng Police Station in the Hexi District when she was talking to people about Falun Gong on August 7, 2014. She was taken to the Wushuidao Detention Center in the Hexi District.

12. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Shan Fugui, Ms. Gong Huadong and Ms. Yin Shuling are still detained in the Linyi Detention Cener.

13. [Kunming, Yunnan Province] Mr. Zhu Yaming Sentenced

Mr. Zhu Yaming was sentenced to three years of imprisonment with three years of probation on July 29, 2014.

14. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Guan Shuli and Ms. Feng Xue Sentenced

Ms. Guan Shuli from Xinfa Town, Daoli District, Harbin was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment by the Daoli Court. She has been taken to the Heilongjiang Women's Prison.

Ms. Feng Xue was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment by the Daoli Court. She was taken to the Hulan Prison.

15. [Weiyuan County, Sichuan Province] Ten Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Mr. Huang Shengkui and nine other practitioners from Weiyuan County were arrested by Zhang Bing and officers from the Weiyuan Domestic Security Division on July 5, 2014. They were taken to the Weiyuan, Neijiang and Zigong detention centers. Ms. Liu, 80, and her husband were released the next day after their children were extorted several thousand yuan. Ms. Liu Cuirong's husband was released after being held for 15 days. Ms. Tang Kefang and Ms. Liu Suyue were released after being held for 30 days.

Mr. Huang Shengkui, Mr. Liu Jianping and Ms. Liu Cuirong are still being held at the Weiyuan Detention Center. Ms. Wu Xiurong is being held at the Daan District Detention Center in Zigong.
