(Minghui.org) “What a blessing to come across you!” a Chinese businessman told Winnie, a Falun Gong practitioner who volunteers her time at the Sydney Opera House to inform Chinese tourists about the practice of Falun Gong and the persecution in China. This heartfelt sentiment is echoed by many visitors from China when they finally gain access to information that is blocked in their home country.

Chinese tourists are drawn to display boards that contain facts about the persecution of Falun Gong, information that they have very limited access to in China.

After chatting with practitioners at the Sydney Opera House, a young Chinese businessman commented, “I have not met such kindhearted and trustworthy people for many years. What a blessing to come across you!”

Upon getting off his tour bus, the man asked practitioners for informational materials. He read the display boards carefully, as Winnie illustrated facts about the persecution to him.

She told him that Falun Gong is based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and that the peaceful cultivation practice is embraced in over 100 countries around the world.

The young man spent about half an hour reading the display boards. He asked a lot of questions, including questions about the staged self-immolation (a hoax used to frame Falun Gong) and the reason for quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He talked about how the CCP's corruption harms the Chinese people and wanted to know why high-ranking CCP officials are being sued when they travel overseas. Finally, he asked why Falun Gong is supported outside of China, but not in China.

The man's wife urged him to leave, but he lingered and said that he was not as interested in sightseeing. He told Winnie that although he was very successful in China, he felt that there was no loyalty or trust, and he believes there is a crisis in China's society and moral environment.

Before he left with the tour guide, the man quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. He also gave Winnie his contact information, hoping to reconnect after he returned to China.

They indeed kept in touch over the Internet. He once told Winnie that he and a few other businessmen watched the DVD of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. After they finished the program, they understood that it would be useless to put any hope in the CCP, and decided to emigrate.

Winnie, a former award-winning high school teacher in China, has been persistent in her efforts to clarify the truth over these past nine years. She explained her goal as a high school teacher: “I always hoped that all my students would have a happy life.” She now holds the same wish for the Chinese tourists she encounters, wanting only the best for them and treating each as a friend. Many Chinese visitors have in turn sought Winnie's help and guidance.

A visiting Chinese historian learned about the Nine Commentaries through Winnie. The historian quit the CCP and exchanged contact information with her, wishing to keep in touch.

Winnie has noticed changes in the Chinese tourists over the years. She believes that the exposure of the CCP's forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience has been the last straw for many, helping them make the decision to quit the CCP organizations.

On one occasion, over 40 Chinese students quit the CCP's affiliated organizations upon learning about the organ harvesting crimes. Their teacher also quit. As they left, the students called out, “Falun Dafa (another name for Falun Gong) is good!”

Another time, two Chinese women burst into tears upon hearing about the state-sanctioned organ harvesting in China. They quit the party, too.

Even tour guides help Winnie by speaking to their charges, “Who here is a CCP member? Listen to the Falun Gong practitioners. Quit the party!”

Winnie explains, “Chinese people are awakening to the truth. Many have learned the facts about Falun Gong, the persecution and the true nature of the CCP by using special software to circumvent the CCP's Internet blockade or by chatting with Falun Gong practitioners when they can travel overseas. They have treated us as their dear friends. They feel so fortunate, and I feel just as happy for them, too. Those whom I have helped quit the CCP will have blessings in their lives!”
