(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners around the world have been exposing the atrocities of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), especially its organ harvesting crimes, and calling for support to end the persecution. Helen, a practitioner from Brisbane, Australia, often tells people what's happening in China, and has received great support from many kind-hearted Australians.
Compassionate Response
Many Australians were moved to tears while hearing the story of Falun Gong. They were more than willing to sign Helen's petition to condemn the persecution and offered to help in other ways.
Once, a middle-aged lady read the display boards about the CCP's organ harvesting. Shocked by the brutality, she said, “How can such terrible thing happen?” Tears filled her eyes. She wanted to make a donation. Helen told her all she asked for was the heart of support, not money. Helen met many people who offered to make donations, and though she was very touched by their compassion, she declined the donations, but collected their signatures.
A young man told Helen after signing the petition, “Stopping the persecution is my responsibility. Everyone should take actions against the evil. If you don't do anything, you might become the victim someday.”
An elderly lady once asked Helen, “Are you collecting signatures against the abuse of bears?” Many Westerners have showed great concern ever since animal abuse in China had been exposed around the world.
Helen said, “No. I'm collecting signatures against the abuse of people.” The lady was shocked and angered upon hearing about the CCP's organ harvesting. She took some printed materials with her so that she could help spread the information.
“I Will Help You Collect Signatures!”
A bakery owner in a little town was very supportive of the Falun Gong practitioners' efforts. She not only signed the petition, but also brought lunch and water to Helen. She told Helen, “Give me some blank forms. I will help you collect signatures.” She returned with the forms completely filled with signatures.
A camping gear store owner helped in the same way. He asked Helen, “Do you have more forms? Leave some in my store. I will help you collect signatures.” He set up a special table for the introduction materials and signature forms. His customers read the introduction and signed on their own.
Helen talked to a realtor about the persecution and he immediately agreed to set up a display in front of his office to collect signatures. He told her she was welcome to take a break in his office and get a drink any time.
“Falun Gong Is What I Need!”
Many people became interested in Falun Gong when Helen told them about the benefits of the practice. A man said, “Falun Gong is what I need! I'm a policeman. My job comes with a lot of stress. I really need a practice like this.”
Through Helen's signature collection for the past several years, a ripple of compassion spread further and further. These seemingly coincidental encounters brought truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance into many people's lives.
