(Minghui.org) I used to be a scrawny baby and my mother did not have milk to feed me. My father was blind and my family didn't always know where their next meal was coming from. When I was old enough to help, I begged for food with my mother. I survived despite the immense hardship.
After I practiced Falun Dafa, it was clear to me that Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, had looked after me from the very beginning. I was predestined to practice Dafa and save sentient beings. I am now 75 years old.
From Despair to Being Cancer Free
I used to suffer from metabolic disorders. My physical shape changed. My sweat pores were blocked and I was in pain. The soles of my feet were thick and as hard as metal. I had neurasthenia, recurrent fever, heart disease and rheumatoid arthritis. Colorectal cancer was added to the list when I got older. My illnesses forced me into early retirement.
My husband is two years older than me. He joined the army after attending military school and was awarded many medals. After he retired from the army, he worked as the manager and deputy director of a factory. When he was getting older, he developed heart, cardiovascular and kidney disease, which developed into nasal and liver cancer. He also had to take early retirement.
In desperation, we visited many doctors and temples. But despite this our health deteriorated.
We were waiting for our lives to end, when the greatest blessing was bestowed upon us in April 1996. Falun Dafa spread to our family and both of us started the practice.
We soon returned to good health. We no longer need to visit doctors, take medication or get medical treatment. Master saved us. We don't know how much Master has suffered for us, but we are very healthy and look much younger.
Attaining the Great Law of the Cosmos
The most important thing for us was that we had attained the Great Law of the cosmos. Our bodies were cleansed and our morals elevated.
We were so happy that we told the people around us how wonderful Dafa was. We went to many places to spread the Fa and never felt tired, no matter how far we walked.
“Oh how many the years, looking for the master,Finally the day has arrived to meet him.Cultivate and return, the Fa now gained,And follow your master to return, consummated.”(“Destined Return for the Holy Fruition” in Hong Yin)
Persecuted for Practicing Falun Dafa
My husband and I spoke to many people of our experiences and returning to good health through practicing. We appealed twice in Beijing for the right to practice Falun Dafa. After that, the police monitored us and frequently harassed us. We have been arrested 5 times, put under house arrest 5 times and the police extorted 20,000 yuan from us.
In July 2000, a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official told us, “The police have your forced labor documents just waiting for your signatures.” They planned to subject us to three years of forced labor, as we are local coordinators and fairly well known among practitioners.
Escaping With Master's Protection
We decided that it would be safer to leave our home for a while, so we called for a cab. It was cloudy but dry that day. When the cab was less than five minutes away, the sky suddenly turned dark and a heavy thunderstorm hit the area. Those who were monitoring us ran for cover and did not notice that we left when the cab arrived.
With Master's merciful protection, we went to a remote city 600 miles away. We managed to survive by picking up trash. Various people bullied us, but we were unmoved because we knew that it's part of our cultivation. We trust Master and Dafa and faced hardship without any complaint. We remained far from our home, without any communication with fellow practitioners and our family members, for two years.
We missed everyone very much, but we continued to practice diligently. Our morality improved. We had given up our home, our family and our salary. The harsh environment tempered us. This is something beyond the old forces' imagination.
Master said:

Clarifying the Facts About Falun Dafa
We did our best to do the three things and made this our first priority. We clarified the facts about Falun Dafa every day. Neither wind or rain, heat or cold could stop us. We went to Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Henan, Hebei, Shandong, Liaoning, Tianjin and Beijing. We let people know about Falun Dafa on the train, bus, ferry, plane and at the temples.
We have spoken to more than 20,000 people from all walks of life. I was active in clarifying the facts, but sometimes neglected personal cultivation.
Looking Within
I once felt pain in my left leg and could not meditate. I sent righteous thoughts, looked within and realized that I should never say “stop cultivating”, something that I have said in the past. How could I say that after Master suffered for me? I shouldn't say it, even if I did not mean it. What I said showed disrespect to Master and the Fa. I felt ashamed when I thought about how Master saved me. The old forces took the fault in my words as an excuse and persecuted me. I would not accept it.
I went out to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa twice a day. Master saw my wish to save people, and did not allow the old forces to persecute me any further. When I meditated, I saw that Master cut a hole in my leg and took out three knifes. After that, I no longer felt the pain and was able to meditate.
Accidents Became Opportunities to Validate the Fa
Although we were diligent and truly cultivating ourselves, we sometimes had tribulations because of our karma or xinxing omissions. We treated the troubles in a kind and righteous way, turning them into opportunities to validate the Fa.
1. A motorcycle once hit our minivan head on on a highway in 2008. The driver was unlicensed and was speeding. The police confirmed that this person was at fault. He lived in the countryside and was not well off financially at all. Instead of taking the 20,000 yuan compensation from him, we paid for the repairs.
We also visited him during the New Year season in the following years and gave him gifts. He and his neighbors were moved by our kindness and we became good friends. His family and close neighbors knew that Falun Dafa is good and withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
2. We frequently went to farmers markets to speak to people about Dafa. In 2011, I was run over by a heavy three wheel motorcycle that was out of control. When the driver managed to stop, he pulled me out from under his motorcycle. He was shaking and offered to take me to the hospital. I comforted him, and said, “Don't worry. I am fine. I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I have Master and Dafa's protection. I am OK and do not need to go to the hospital.”
He gave me his name, address and some money. Instead of taking his money and personal details, I told him about Falun Dafa. He listened, then expressed his gratitude again and again. I told him to give his thanks to Master because it is Master who has taught us to behave this way.
When someone asked my age, the bystanders seemed very surprised when I told them that I was over 70. I heard someone comment that a person at such an old age, who was run over by such a heavy vehicle, must have at least broken bones. But I walked away without a scratch. Others talked about the compensation I should get. But I took nothing. One person made a remark, “She is a Falun Dafa practitioner. Practitioners are good people.”
It's actually Master who protected me and suffered for me the moment I was hit.
I went to the market again five days later. Quite a few people who did not believe the facts about Falun Dafa before the accident, had changed their mind by then, and agreed to withdraw from the CCP.
An old lady saw me and cried out, “A good person is coming.” She said to me, “I watched you get run over and you didn't have a single scratch. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself. You are really a good person. I believe what you say. I was in the Young Pioneers. Please help me to quit.” She then asked me to also withdraw for five of her family members spanning three generations. I told her to make sure that she lets others know that Falun Dafa is good.
We should study the Fa more diligently, clarify the facts, save more people with predestined relationships and do the three things well. We should not waste the time extended by Master. We must fulfill our prehistoric vow.
