(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Lili, from Linhai City, Zhejiang Province, was illegally arrested in 2013. The court secretly sentenced her to three and a half years in prison in April 2014, her family was not notified.
Ms. Wang talked to people about Falun Gong in Datian Township, Linhai City, on June 28, 2013. Lu Zhipeng, a local villager, reported her. She was arrested and taken to the Datian Township Police Station.
Policemen Wang Yong and Zhu, from the Linhai City Domestic Security Division took Ms. Wang to the Zishaao Detention Center, Linhai City, while other officers ransacked her home.
Ms. Wang was interrogated at the detention center, but she refused to give them the location of an informational material production site or the names of practitioners involved in it.
For nearly a year, these officers did not notify her family about her situation. Finally, on May 29, 2014, detention center personnel called the family and granted them visitation rights. During the visit, they found out that Ms. Wang had been sentenced to three and a half years in prison on April 17, 2014.
These public security authorities failed to give Ms. Wang's family any written or verbal notice, and have deprived the family of the right to seek legal representation to defend Ms. Wang's innocence. According to the law in China, Ms. Wang has the right to appeal.
At present, the family does not know which prison Ms. Wang will be sent to.
