Additional Persecution News from China – June 15, 2014 (25 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 15 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 32 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Wang Youjiang Persecuted

Mr. Wang Youjiang was sentenced to a six-year prison term in September 2013. He was taken to the Lanzhou Prison. His family was not allowed to visit him.

2. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Xiuying Sentenced

Ms. Chen Xiuying was sentenced to a four-year prison term on June 13, 2014.

3. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Suying Arrested

Ms. Zhang Suying was arrested at noon on June 12, 2014. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail the next day.

4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Chun and Her Husband Forced to Leave Home

Ms. Wang Chun's home was ransacked on the evening of April 25, 2014. The police confiscated her camera, water heater, refrigerator, washer, computer, three motorcycles, a bicycle, and other personal items. The total value of the confiscated items was 70,000 yuan}. She and her husband had to leave home to avoid further persecution.

5. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xu Jinxiu Detained

Ms. Xu Jinxiu, in her 60s, was arrested on June 8, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released half an hour later. She was arrested again for the same reason three days later. The police ransacked her home and she is being held at a detention center.

6. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Pan Hanyu Arrested

Mr. Pan Hanyu was arrested at home by officers from the Nantong City 610 Office and local police station in early April 2014.

7. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Gao Yuan Detained

Ms. Gao Yuan was arrested at home by officers from the Guiyuan Police Station in the Luohu District on June 12, 2014. The police ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, printer, and other personal items. She is being held at the Luohu Detention Center.

8. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhao Bin Persecuted to Death

Mr. Zhao Bin was tortured to death in Tilanqiao Prison on October 19, 2013. On the day of his death, other prisoners beat him for refusing to stop doing the Falun Gong exercises.

The guards discovered that he was in critical physical condition and transferred him to the Chinese Traditional and Western Medicine Hospital for treatment but it was too late.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Guan Longmei's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Guan Longmei, in her 60s, was arrested around June 7, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Yuzhou City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced

Mr. Zhang Hongya, Mr. Zhang Jiang, and Mr. Dang Fuqiang were put on trial by the Yuzhou City Court on June 19, 2014.

They were arrested by officers from the Xuchang City and the Yuzhou City 610 Offices on March 28, 2014. The police ransacked their homes. They are being held at the Yuzhou City Detention Center.

11. [Tianjin] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners including Ms. Han Wenmin and Ms. Li Shuxia were arrested by officers from the Dagang Domestic Security Division at the gate of Gangbei Prison on family visiting day, June 14, 2014. One of them was released that evening. Ms. Han and Ms. Li are being held in the Dagang Detention Center. The whereabouts of the other three are unknown.

12. [Xuchang City, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, Ms. Zhang Cuilan, and Ms. Li Qiuju were arrested by officers from the Dengzhuang Town Police Station in the Dongcheng District on the afternoon of June 12, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Yulin Detention Center in Xuchang City.

13. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Su Junyi Detained

Mr. Su Junyi was arrested at home by officers from the 610 Office of the Henglin Police Station on the morning of June 13, 2014. The police ransacked his home and confiscated six computers, two multifunctional machines, a tower DVD rewriter, recorder, several hundred yuan in paper bills with messages about Falun Gong printed on them, and Falun Gong books. He is being held at the Jinhai International Grand Hotel in Changzhou City.

14. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ren Xiulan and Ms. Li Yulan Detained

Ms. Ren Xiulan and Ms. Li Yulan were arrested by officers from the Hulin City No. 2 Police Station on the morning of June 14, 2014. They are being held at the Hulin City No. 2 Detention Center.

Ms. Yu Yingjie and Ms. Yang Huili were each sentenced to three and a half years in prison. They were transferred from the No. 3 Detention Center to the Changchun Women's Prison on May 5, 2014.

16. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Yuzhuo Sentenced

Ms. Zhang Yuzhuo, arrested by officers from the Jiaotong Police Department, was held for approximately seven months. She was sentenced to a ten-year prison term by the Shuangta Court in early April 2014.

Ms. Liu Ping was arrested on June 13, 2014. She is being held at the Datong City Detention Center.

Ms. Yang Xichen, Ms. Shi Xue, and Ms. Shi Juying were arrested by officers from the Chengguang Police Station in Zanhuanon County on June 14, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center.

20. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Qin Yongjie and his wife, Ms. Chen Ruiyun, were arrested on May 15, 2014. The officer in charge was Gu Zhiyong from Wenfang City from the Kuiwen District Domestic Security Division.

They arrested Mr. Qin's daughter, Ms. Qin Xue, and confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, truth-clarification materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, a computer, and a printer. They are being held at the Weifang City Detention Center.

21. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Lanyun Detained

Ms. Zhang Lanyun was arrested by officers from the Yongyang Town Police Station on June 12, 2014. She is being held at a brainwashing center.

22. [Luhe County, Guangdong Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Shujing and Ms. Peng Wenxiu were arrested on June 12, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Luhe County Detention Center.

Mr. Wang Jingzhou, arrested for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong, is being held at the Dazhou City Brainwashing Center.

Officers from the Meihekou City 610 Office have arrested and taken a dozen practitioners to a brainwashing center since June 12, 2014. Among those arrested were Ms. Zhao Juan, Ms. Gao Yujie, Mr. Hou Shiquan, Ms. Fan Shihong, Ms. Liang Shumei, Mr. Liu Quanwu, and seven other practitioners.
