(Minghui.org) Chinese officials and police continue to hound Qi Xiaoping and Wang Xiaomei. Because they practice Falun Gong, Ms. Qi, a teacher, and Ms. Wang, a registrar at the Dadong Street Kindergarten in Zhongjiang County, have been persecuted for over a decade.

Ms. Qi and Ms. Wang, both from Zhongjiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province, were arrested again recently, this time by the police substation of Qiqing Township in Zhongjiang County. The women were then incarcerated at the Zhongjiang County Detention Center on May 15, 2014.

Outraged at this injustice for their simply practicing Falun Gong, the women's families hired attorneys to defend them. A court date has not been set at this time.

Harassed for Over a Decade

Because the authorities threatened to take away her husband's job and her son's college enrollment, Ms. Qi was forced into a divorce and to leave her home. She moved on from her once-happy family with only a small amount of personal belongings in August 2001.

The authorities have deprived Ms. Wang of her income for over ten years. Moreover, she has been responsible for taking care of her 80-year-old mother and 4-year-old granddaughter, as her daughter works as a migrant worker in another province.

Before this most recent arrest, the two practitioners were detained in a brainwashing center in September 2001. They were arrested and detained again in January 2002. A month later they were illegally sentenced to a year of forced labor, but they escaped from the transportation vehicle.
