(Minghui.org) The Litong District Court of Wuzhong City, Ningxia Province put Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Luo Xinping on trial on May 16, 2014. The judge asked Ms. Luo some basic questions and then adjourned the proceedings without handing down a judgment.

On March 25, 2014, Ms. Luo and her husband, Mr. Wang Xiangchen, were arrested by undercover police officers, who insisted on taking them to the detention center. After two checkups, the detention center refused to take Ms. Luo due to her hypertension. Mr. Wang was detained in the detention center.

Ms. Luo was arrested with Ms. Mo Huiping by Litong Police Department officers on February 16, 2013. Ms. Luo was taken to the detention center, but was soon released on medical parole due to her poor health. Ms. Mo was sentenced to four years in jail.

During Ms. Luo's recuperation, police from the Litong National Security Division, led by Captain Ma Minglang, repeatedly harassed her on the phone and threatened her at home.

Prior to this, Ms. Luo and her husband Mr. Wang served time in a forced labor camp for practicing Falun Gong.

The Litong District Court has actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners over the years. The judges have blatantly ignored the law. In 2013, practitioners Ms. Ma Xiongde was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and Ms. Zheng Fengying to seven years.
