(Minghui.org) I have hired people from the countryside to work in my home. The first was a woman named Xiaojuan. Her husband had lost 1,500 yuan gambling. The couple had a huge quarrel, and Xiaojuan left home and came to the provincial capital to work. She came to my house to work after being introduced to me by other domestic workers.
I told her how to do the housework that she would be responsible for, and I also told her that I was a Falun Gong practitioner. I mentioned that I study the Fa, practice the exercises, and clarify the truth daily. I asked her if she would support me in this. She was shocked and asked, “You're not afraid to practice Falun Gong?” I replied, “No. It keeps me fit and teaches me to be a good person. Why would I be afraid? I have Master protecting me.”
She then said, “We had a lot of practitioners back home. They practiced the exercises every morning and evening outside in the park. Then the police came and said that no one was allowed to practice any longer. Afterwards we didn't see anyone practicing outside again.”
I asked her, “Have you ever read any of the truth-clarification booklets?” She said, “We often had booklets left on our door, but we never read them.” I said, “It's a pity that you didn't. Since July 20, 1999, how many booklets did you get?” She replied, “I would say around 100. Whoever saw one would throw it away.” My heart was crying. I thought. “How much pain was endured just to save you. Why is it like this?”
I thought it was fate that brought her to my door, so apart from studying the Fa, doing the exercises, and telling people the facts about Dafa every day, I would take time to help her with the household chores while talking to her about how the greatness of Dafa, and how miraculous it is. I spoke to her a lot about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inevitable end.
She enjoyed these talks and raised some questions, like about the staged self-immolation, the peaceful protest at the government compound in Beijing, and so on. I patiently answered all of her questions. I was considerate of her needs and bought her favorite foods and daily necessities. After days of living together, she was very thankful and said, “Falun Gong practitioners are so nice! Starting tomorrow, I will also learn Falun Gong and will participate in the group Fa study to read Zhuan Falun with you.”
Every time we studied the Fa together, she always tried to read more. She was doing very well, as if she had learned before. She read very fluently and made few errors. When she told us why she had run away from home, we told her, “You have learned the Fa. At least be a good person and make up with your husband.” She did, and her family was at peace. On Tomb Sweeping Day, she invited all of her friends, classmates, and relatives to celebrate together. She told them the facts about Dafa and asked them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Within five days, 59 people had quit the CCP. From this incident, I felt very deeply that the people of this world came for the sole purpose of gaining the Fa.
In one year's time, during my process of clarifying the truth in 2012-2013, nine people have begun practicing Falun Gong. People still come to join the practice, even during the persecution, which is truly commendable. Thank you, Master, for lengthening the time. Master will not waste time. Many people have been saved. In “Fa Teaching Given at the Epoch Times Meeting” Master said about Dafa disciples, “...they shoulder the mission of saving sentient beings...” I, too, am a Dafa disciple on a mission—to save people.
