(Minghui.org) “Hi, Tony! It's not often that a few of us get to work together. You have an exceptionally good understanding of the Fa. Why don't you share it with us?” one practitioner asked another when we were all working on the same project.

Tony did talk about the Fa principles as he understood them. However, different people hold different views, and we got into endless arguments about the real meaning of the Fa.

This compelled me to look inward, and I found that I had a strong sense of validating myself, the desire to win arguments, an urge to show-off, and many other human notions.

This incident reminded me of another incident that happened many years ago. I was selling socks at a counter in a store and had recorded the selling price of each pair of socks I sold. A salesman at the next counter said that he noticed the selling price was different from what I recorded. Each of us was firmly convinced that we were correct. At that time I couldn't understand what I should be learning from the incident.

Now I think it is to tell us to let go of the self. Insisting on justifying that we are right is a human notion.
