(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 8 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 29 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Zhendong, Ms. Guan, Ms. Ding, and Ms. Li were arrested at Ms. Guan's home by officers from the Shenyang City Domestic Security Division and 610 Office on the evening of April 23, 2014. Their whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Cong Ming and Ms. Zhang Lei were arrested on April 24, 2014.

Ms. Guo Lijun and Ms. Shen Xiuqing were arrested and taken to the Ertaizi Police Station on April 24, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Two practitioners were arrested on the afternoon of April 24, 2014, for talking to someone about the persecution of Falun Gong, who then reported them. They were taken to the Zhanqian Police Station. One was later released due to illness symptoms. The whereabouts of the other practitioner are unknown.

Ms. Guo Hongyan was arrested at work on April 24, 2014.

4. [Mancheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yan Xinpu Arrested

Ms. Yan Xinpu was recently arrested by officers en route to visit her sick husband. She was transferred to the Domestic Security Division of the Mancheng County Police Department that day.

5. [Guizhou Province] Ms. Ou Yangqun Arrested

Ms. Ou Yangqun was arrested on April 23, 2014.

6. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhou Liulian and Mr. Lu Zongyan were reported and arrested at the tourist site Lushan, in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, on March 30, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. Mr. Zhou is being held at the Lushan Police Department, and Mr. Lu was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center.

7. [Shanghai] Mr. Xu Mingrong Detained

Mr. Xu Mingrong was arrested on April 19, 2014. He is being held at the Zhangjiang Detention Center.

8. [Beijing] Mr. Zhang Jiahuau Arrested

Mr. Zhang Jiankou was arrested in Beijing on April 24, 2014.

9. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Shengcheng Arrested

Mr. Li Shengcheng was recently arrested by Yang Wenxue from the Lianhua County 610 Office, and others. Mr. Li's wife was arrested that day, but released because of neighbors' protests. Officers confiscated six cell phones and removed the caldron outside Mr. Li's home.

The officers also broke into four other Falun Gong practitioners' homes and confiscated computers and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

10. [Xuwen County, Guangdong] Mr. Ma Guangzuo Arrested

Mr. Ma Guangzuo, in his seventies, was arrested and taken to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center on April 14, 2014.

11. [Houma City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Qiu Xiaohong Arrested

Ms. Qiu Xiaohong was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Linfen Railway Police Department on April 23, 2014, on the way to visit her husband, who was incarcerated the Qi County Prison. Her home was ransacked.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Feng Jiwu's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Feng opened the door to a woman who claimed to be the water meter reader on April 24, 2014. Officers from the Wuhan City Police Department then arrested him. They confiscated his Falun Gong books, Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials, and money. His whereabouts are unknown.

13. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shang Xiujun Harassed

Ms. Shang Xiujun was harassed on the morning of April 25, 2014.

14. [Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province] Two Elderly Practitioners Detained

Two elderly practitioners were followed on April 18, 2014, as they were distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were arrested at home that evening, and their printers, computers, and a dozen Falun Gong truth-clarifying brochures were confiscated. They were taken to the local detention center and have been held there since then.

15. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Ms. Huang Lianying Detained

Ms. Huang Lianying, an elderly practitioner, was arrested by officers in Gulou District on the afternoon of April 19, 2014. She is being held at a detention center, reportedly for 15 days.

16. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Weijing Harassed

Ms. Liu Weijing was harassed at home by Sun Sheng, Qiao Gang, and other officers from the Tongjiangkou Town Police Station on the afternoon of April 24, 2014. She had been taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp twice in the past.

17. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Miyi County Domestic Security Division, Baima Town Police Station, and Huilong Village, including its head Zhao Tinghai, broke into the homes of Ms. Cai Huilian, Ms. Tang Guoyin, and Ms. Gu Xingfeng and harassed them. Ms. Tang's Falun Gong lecture DVDs and Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party DVDs were confiscated. The police took photos of the practitioners.

18. [Haikou City, Hainan Province] Mr. Wang Xiaodong Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wang Xiaodong was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on March 31, 2014.

19. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yarong and Ms. Sun Jinlan Detained

Ms. Wang Yarong and Ms. Sun Jinlan were arrested by officers from the Nanjingjie Police Station on March 31, 2014. They are being held at the Jilin City Detention Center.

20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jiasheng Worried about His Future Situation

Mr. Wang Jiasheng, who is being held in Shijiazhuang Prison, talked to his family over the phone on April 24, 2014. He said he was being subjected to brainwashing. He also said, "If you don't get my phone call in two weeks, I might have been transferred or something might have happened to me."

Ms. Bai Fengling was recently arrested and taken to the Haibin Police Station in Baodi District, after being reported for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and Falun Gong books and 1,000 yuan were confiscated.

Ms. Shen Meiyun was arrested on the evening of April 24, 2014.

23. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners' Homes Ransacked

Officers from the Xingwangzhai Town Administrative Government and the Shirengou Police Station broke into the homes of Mr. Wang Jiang and Mr. Sui Jinming on the morning of April 25, 2014. They confiscated Falun Gong calendars and photos of Master.

Ms. Li Guilan was arrested by a dozen officers from the Anqing Police Station on April 25, 2014.
