Additional Persecution News from China – April 27, 2014 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 40 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Over Ten Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Approximately eight officers broke into Ms. Li Xiumei's home in the Minglian Area of the Huanggu District on April 24, 2014. Ms. Li was arrested, and the police confiscated her laptop computer and other belongings.

Shenyang police broke into Mr. Wu Hongxin's home and arrested him on April 24, 2014. Mr. Qi Xiangyang, who is a restaurant owner, along with his wife and three waiters were also arrested. Mr. Qi was taken to the Shenyang Detention Center. The three waiters have been released.

The other practitioners arrested include Mr. Wang Xiyan, Mr. Liu Chuansen, Ms. Xiao Hui, Ms. Jiang Jun and Mr. Cong Liang, Mr. Chen Chao and his wife from Tawan in the Huanggu District, and Mr. Zhang Lei and his mother Ms. Gao Yan.

The police ransacked Ms. Jiang Jun's home and confiscated about 30,000 yuan in cash.

2. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Four Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Liu Yang and officers from the Shenyang Domestic Security Division and the Wusong Police Station broke into Ms. Guan Xiumei's home on April 24, 2014. Ms. Guan, Ms. Ding Lihua, and two other practitioners were arrested and taken to the Wusong Police Station. The police confiscated a mini van, seven computers, about 70 cell phones, many cell phone cards, about 14,000 yuan in cash, Falun Dafa books, and other belongings. The four practitioners have been transferred to the Shenyang Detention Center.

3. [Hegang, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Huang Xiaoxia and Two Practitioners

Ms. Huang Xiaoxia, who was arrested on April 23, 2014, has been released. Her husband, Mr. Yang Zaocai, is still in the detention center. Mr. Xu Xianda is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center.

4. [Baoding, Hebei Province] Ms. Yan Xinpu

Ms. Yan Xinpu from Mancheng in Baoding went to visit her husband, who works in Beijing, on April 24, 2014. The police found Falun Gong materials in her bag and took her to Mancheng Detention Center. They ransacked her home and confiscated her computer and other belongings.

5. [Suining, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Shizhen and Ms. Zhong Xiaofang Arrested

Ms. Wu Shizhen, 68, and Ms. Zhong Xiaofang, about 40, from Yongsheng Township in the Chuanshan District, Suining, were arrested on April 24, 2014, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in Renlong Town, Pengxi County. They are being held in the Yongxing Detention Center.

6. [Luzhou, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Guirong Arrested

Ms. Zhao Ronggui, a physician, was arrested on April 23, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liu Li Arrested

Ms. Liu Li, 57, was taken to the Zhanjiang Brainwashing Center on April 22, 2014.

8. [Xinxiang, Henan Province] Two Practitioners Persecuted

Ms. Zou Longyu, 69, was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. She was transferred to Henan Women's Prison in late January 2014.

Ms. Fu Shanqing, 66, was taken to the Weibei Police Station as she was talking to people about Falun Gong near Zhou Village. She was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Muye Court in Xinxiang. She has been transferred to prison.

9. [Xian, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Su Zikui and Ms. Sun Juying

Officers from the Wuwei Railroad Police Station arrested Mr. Su Zikui and Ms. Sun Juying when they went to Xian on April 20, 2014. The police took four cell phones, a laptop computer, an audio player, 10,000 yuan in cash, and Falun Dafa books and informational materials. After being interrogated for the entire night, Mr. Su felt sick. He has been released on bail.

10. [Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Li Guofu, Ms. Wang Haiyan, and Ms. Hao Aiping were arrested by officers from the Xinshengpai Police Station on April 16, 2014. Xiang and Chen were also arrested at the same time.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Zhong Xiuqing Arrested

Ms. Zhong Xiuqing was arrested by officers from the Nankou Police Station on April 24, 2014. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Jiaokou County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Lanfu Arrested

Ms. Liu Lanfu was found carrying Falun Dafa books on April 26, 2014, by security personnel at the Jiaokou Bus Station. She was arrested by officers from the Shuitou Police Station. The police confiscated her cell phone and Falun Dafa books. Ms. Liu was released on bail that night.

13. [Guiyang, Guizhou Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Beijinglu Police Station arrested Ms. Zhao Ya, Ms. Zhang Juying, and Mr. Xie Zhonggui on April 22, 2014.

Mr. Ye and his daughter were arrested on April 21, 2014, and their home ransacked.

14. [Fushun, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wei Detained

Ms. Wei was arrested and taken to the Zhanqian Police Station when she was distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs near Qianjin Theatre in the Xinfu District of Fushun on April 22, 2014. She was given a ten-day sentence and is being held in the Nangou Detention Center.

15. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Three Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Zheng Jie, head of the Chongshan Police Station, along with personnel from the Yunmenghu Administration Committee and officers from the Jiuzhai Police Station, went to ransack the homes of Ms. Wang Xiulian, about 70, in Gequ Village, and Ms. Peng Xinghua, 60, in Xiezhuang Village on April 24, 2014. The two practitioners were arrested and taken to the Jiuzhai Police Station.

The police also arrested Ms. Zhang Xiuying, 70, from Shuiquanyu Village. She was released that night.

16. [Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Mr. Huang Weizhong

Personnel from the Denggang Residential Committee on Nanqi Road in the Haizhu District assisted the police in arresting Mr. Huang Weizhong, 40, on April 18, 2014. His home was also ransacked.

17. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Ms. Yan Sanyan Sentenced

Ms. Yan Sanyan, who is retired from the Xiangtan Steel Company Iron Mill in the Yuetang District of Xiangtan, was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Yuetang District Court on April 25, 2014.

18. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Xiaomei Arrested

Ms. Yan Xiaomei was arrested on the morning of April 26, 2014.

19. [Langfang, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Weishan Arrested

Mr. Ma Weishan from Yanjiao in Langfang was arrested and taken to the Sanhe Detention Center. The police ransacked his home and confiscated his computer, printer, DVD burner, TV, a sedan automobile, about 30 cell phones, about 100 Falun Dafa books, 8000 yuan in cash, and other belongings.
