(Minghui.org) Three women were illegally arrested and mistreated by the police for handing out flyers and talking to people about Falun Gong in Yutian County. Ms. Zhang Xue was abused in custody and became mentally disoriented. Ms. Liu Ping was released because of high blood pressure. Ms. Li Yuhuan is still detained at the Yutian County Detention Center.

Ms. Zhang Xue, in her 40's, is from Yaoba Village, Yutian County. Officers from the Yahongqiao Town Police Station arrested her and took her to the Yutian County Detention Center.

The police tortured Ms. Zhang while she was held in detention. At the time of her release, she still had a burn mark on her forehead from being electrocuted with an electric baton. Her eyes were bloody and swollen, her lips were so swollen that the inside of the lips were visible, and she had a large bruise on her chin.

She had also become mentally unstable. Her speech was incoherent, and after she returned home she would constantly stare into space. Whenever someone spoke to her, she would cover her face and repeatedly say that the police didn’t beat her. Her family suspects that the police injected her with some unknown drugs. She was released on February 10, 2014.

Four officers from the Yutian County Police Station arrested Ms. Li Yuhuan, in her 50's, from Xiwuli Village, and Ms. Liu Ping, in her 40's, from Huangtuqiao Village, both in Yutian County, at the Tang Village farmers market on March 9, 2014. They were giving out truth-clarifying pamphlets on Falun Gong, when they were reported.

They were taken to the Yutian County Police Station where they were forced to give up the keys to a motorbike and the keys to their homes. The police also took 70 yuan cash from Ms. Liu's pocket and confiscated her motorbike.

Ms. Li and Ms. Liu were transferred to the Yutian County Detention Center around midnight the same day.

Ms. Li's home was under construction and the police ransacked her home in front of all of the workers. A computer that belonged to her son who does not practice Falun Gong, and some Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Ms. Li is still detained at the Yutian County Detention Center.

Ms. Liu was released at 1:00 a.m. on March 10, 2014, because of high blood pressure.
