1. Years of Detention and Torture
Between my first trip to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 1999, until the Tiananmen Self-immolation Hoax in 2001, I was illegally arrested three times and spent 120 days in detention. Later, I was sentenced to five years in prison in 2005.
The experience was a hellish nightmare that stayed with me. Every day in prison felt like a year. I suffered broken ribs, severely ruptured cartilage, and my legs were injured. The guards forced hot pepper water into my stomach, grabbed my nipples, and stuck needles under the nails of my hands and feet. At one point, I was forced to remain squatting for 72 hours.
Another time, they made me stand on my feet for 41 days and nights. During that time, I was not allowed to wash my face or brush my teeth. I was not allowed to sleep or use the toilet for thirteen days. They drenched me with cold water in the winter, and locked me in a hot room all day long in the summer.
In addition to the harsh tortures, the guards tried to brainwash me with lies and false promises. But I never lost my righteous thoughts about Falun Dafa, and never doubted Master for a moment. I came back to life from near-death many times, and I finally got out.
Actually, the most painful thing about being imprisoned was not the torture, but not being able to study the Fa or do the exercises. I deeply regretted not memorizing enough of the Fa by heart before I was jailed. I was anxious to get out so I could spend a lot of time reading Master’s teachings.
After I got out, practitioners brought me Master’s teachings from the past five years. I began to read them day and night, often weeping while I read.
2. Saving People with “Message Money Bills”
I began to print truth-clarifying messages on paper money bills and used them to save many people. One day while I was doing grocery shopping, I overheard a conversation between two shoppers: “Falun Gong practitioners are amazing, they print ‘Falun Dafa is Great’ on cash. Do you dare to spend the money?” The other said, “I saw them too. The money said, 'There is nothing to fear. Heaven will eliminate the Communist Party, quit the Party to be safe.'”
All my shopping was done using “message money bills.” I also gave the money to my children, so they could also spread the truth.
3. Distributing Informational Materials to Luxury Homes
I'm now in my 70’s. After I retired, I moved to another city. Our building compound has a security guard at the gate. For more than two years, I did not receive any truth informational materials at home. I have had several housekeepers, and I often asked them: “Have you ever seen any pamphlets from Falun Gong? What about flyers or DVDs?” One told me: “Yes, they came often. And I have probably received them over one hundred times. But I threw them away.”
My current housekeeper is very close to me. She said: “All Falun Gong practitioners are good people. I want to practice Falun Gong.” So I invited her to our group study at my home. Now every day after completing work, she begins to read Zhuan Falun . Last year when she returned to her hometown to honor her ancestors in the family graves around the Qingming Festival in April, she convinced 59 people to quit their membership in the Communist Party.
I've also followed residents of luxury apartments into their buildings. Starting from the top floor, I walked downstairs, leaving the materials at every floor.
I felt very calm when distributing the flyers. I often silently recited Master’s poem: “Disciples of Fa walk the earth, Compassion they bring. With kind thoughts they save people, Evil specters they vanquish. Righteous thoughts each step of the way, Divine beings are present in this world. When they return with full bounty, The multitude of gods shall receive them.”

4. Clarifying the Truth Face-to-Face
After reading a Minghui article in December 2012, I realized the urgent nature of saving people. I decided to talk to people in person and convince them to quit their association with the Party.
I treat everyone I see as having a predestined relationship with me, including the drinking water delivery driver, gas and water meter readers, workers who installed the window screens and the locksmith. I clarify the truth to all of them.
Sometimes, I chose the time and location to talk to people. After dinner, I will go to construction sites and talk to workers while they're on their break. I go to shops where many people gather and chat. After 9 a.m., I walk the streets and alleys, and talk to people in the street vendor stalls. These places are typically full of people, and convenient for me to speak to them about the truth of Falun Dafa.
I usually express my sympathy for the migrant workers, and instantly develop a rapport with them. I talk about natural disasters, corrupt officials, and the persecution of Falun Gong. Some ask me about the Tiananmen Self-immolation hoax, and I answer their questions in detail. After I tell them the benefit of quitting the Party, most agree to do it with their real names.
One day on my way to the grocery store, a young man was walking towards me holding a plastic bag. Suddenly an orange dropped out and rolled towards a car, both of us tried to pick it up, but the orange ended up under the car. He said, it’s okay, I don’t want it. I told him: “I need to tell you something important.” He asked, “What is it?” I said, “Have you ever joined the Party, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers?” He answered yes to all of these. I told him that heaven will destroy the Party, and quitting the Party and its affiliated groups can save his life. He was very receptive, and agreed to quit the Party using his real name. After I left him, I thanked Master over and over in my heart.
Another time, I saw a young man sleeping on a long bench on the roadside. Suddenly his cell phone dropped from his pocket. I woke him up and told him to get his phone. It was another opportunity for a conversation, and in the end, he agreed to quit the Party.
When people ask me for directions or are resting by the roadside, these are all opportunities to save them. I do not let any chance pass me by.
