(Minghui.org) The Wuxi City Procuratorate returned Mr. Shi Bingjun's case to the police on February 20, 2014, asking them to provide more materials to support it. Mr. Shi Bingjun was falsely accused of “disrupting law enforcement.”

Mr. Shi's lawyer, Guo Haiyue, stated, “Possessing Falun Gong materials does not constitute a crime. There are indeed no grounds to convict Mr. Shi according to law.”

The lawyer also said, “Many judges have become more lenient in dealing with Falun Gong cases. The police and the Domestic Security Division used to play the gangster, but they are now also a bit more restrained.”

The facts about Falun Gong have been widely spread, and many Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials who were involved in persecuting practitioners have gotten into trouble. Many CCP officials realize that it won't be long before their crimes are fully exposed, so they have become more restrained in their behavior for fear of becoming the Party's scapegoats.

Mr. Shi Bingjun was stopped by security guards on the evening of October 10, 2013, and searched. A number of CDs about Falun Gong were found in his bag.

Mr. Shi was then illegally arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division. His house was searched and ransacked twice. His computer, printer, and other personal belongings were confiscated. Mr. Shi has been detained at the Wuxi No. 1 Detention Center for almost five months to date.

Mr. Shi had previously been arrested three times for refusing to renounce his belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and was sentenced to forced labor twice. He was also persecuted in a brainwashing center.

While detained at Wuxi Brainwashing Center, Mr. Shi was forced to stand still for lengthy periods of time and was deprived of sleep. His feet became so swollen that his shoes had to be cut open.

While he was detained at Dafengfangqiang Forced Labor Camp in 2005 and 2011, the police many times instigated inmates to beat him, and he was deprived of sleep. He held a long hunger strike to protest the persecution.
