(Minghui.org) Baoding City Intermediate Court in Hebei Province returned Shunping County Court's unlawful judgment against Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Huiyun due to questionable evidence. Ms. Liu's attorney was manhandled when he went to read her case file in the lower court on March 20, 2014.

When Ms. Liu's attorney went to Shunping County Court on March 19, 2014, to review her documents, he was denied access.

The attorney immediately filed a complaint with the Shunping County Procuratorate. The next morning, he presented his suit in the Baoding City Intermediate Court and was finally allowed to review the file that afternoon.

Qi Zhenhu, the presiding criminal judge of Shunping County Court, was angered at being sued. He ordered two bailiffs to check the attorney, even though the attorney had already passed the security checkpoint. The bailiffs ordered the attorney to go back to the checkpoint and shoved him violently. The attorney, who is in his 60s, reasoned with them and went to the court office with them. The bailiffs had nothing to say when the attorney showed them his rights in the provisions of the law.

Ms. Liu, who is from Shunping County, Baoding City, was arrested when she distributed brochures explaining the facts about Falun Gong on May 19, 2012. She has been held in Baoding Detention Center since May 25.

At the end of 2012, officials of the Shunping County Court tried Ms. Liu furtively in the detention center without notifying her family. She insisted that she was innocent and had a right to freedom of belief during the first trial. The trial ended without a verdict. She then was tried twice in May 2013 and received an unlawful judgment. She appealed the judgment at the Baoding City Intermediate Court.

The Baoding City Intermediate Court returned the case to the Shunping County Court due to questionable evidence. Ms. Liu didn't receive a decision notice from the intermediate court until February 26, 2014.
