(Minghui.org) I was distributing brochures explaining the facts about Falun Dafa and giving out 2014 calendars, when I met up with an elderly man. I said, “We must have a predestined relationship. The new year is just around the corner, and I'd like to give you a 2014 calendar.”

He took a look at it and said, “Isn't this about Falun Dafa? The government does not allow people to practice it, but apparently some still do.”

I replied, “Lots of people practice Falun Dafa. People in more than 100 countries around the world are practicing it.” He asked, “Aren'y you concerned about the possibility that I might report what you just did?” I replied, “I did not do anything wrong. Why should I be afraid? Falun Dafa is a high-level Buddhist cultivation technique. It teaches people to live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. In fact, a practitioner is expected to 'Attain the righteous enlightenment of selflessness and altruism.' (“Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature” in Essentials for Further Advancement)

“A true practitioner will not get sick and will become kinder, more honest, tolerant and peaceful. It is truly good for people to practice it.”

“Is that really true?” he asked.

I replied, “Definitely. I have practiced it for over ten years and have never needed to take any medicine in that time. You must not listen to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). It has tortured Falun Dafa practitioners, lied about them, sent them to forced labor camps, imprisoned them, and profited from harvesting their organs. Heaven will destroy it. The only chance to avoid destruction is to quit the Party and all its associated organizations.”

I then asked him whether he had joined any communist youth organizations. He said he did join the Young Pioneers and asked me to help him withdraw from it. I did and then asked him whether he still wanted to report me to the police. He smiled and said, “Instead of reporting you, I should thank you.”

Before we parted I said, “Please remember 'Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!' Reciting these words will bring you blessings.”

Principal of a Major High School Quits the CCP

Professor Gao was one of my teachers in college. It was because of his outstanding performance that he was asked to stay on as a professor after his graduation from the university. A few years later he ended up in my hometown as the principal of a major high school.

Several classmates and I went to visit him. He was very happy to hear about what we had been doing since we graduated from college.

When the subject of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) came up, Mr. Gao said, “I don't believe in communism anymore. The Party is very corrupt, dictatorial, authoritarian, and discriminatory. It claims that it wants to seek the truth from facts and do whatever it can for the people. Those are just lies.”

One of my classmates said, “You are the principal here. You need to be careful about what you say. The communists don't hesitate to kill people they don't like.” Mr. Gao replied, “I am not afraid of them. I don't participate in their activities anymore and I don't pay its dues, either.”

He continued, “After I arrived here, the fellow responsible for collecting Party dues never came to ask me for it, nor did I intend to pay it anyway. He was then replaced by a new fellow who did come to ask me to pay up. I wrote him a check for two cents! That was to show him that, in my view, the Party is worthless, so he should not come to try to collect from me anymore.”

Last year I went to see Mr. Gao to help him and his family withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. When the subject of Falun Dafa came up, Mr. Gao asked me to tell them what was the current status was. I told them that Falun Dafa had spread to over 100 countries and that heinous crimes had been committed by the CCP against its practitioners, and that international organizations were investigating those crimes. I told him and his wife that heaven would destroy the Party and its members, so it was important to withdraw from it and its organizations. Mr. Gao agreed and used his nickname to withdraw, while his wife used her real name.

I asked Mr. Gao whether he had read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He said he had and that he actually had an extra copy. I noticed that his wife was watching television using a satellite dish. I told them that it would be good to watch the New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) station to hear real news about China. Their current television stations were reporting news filtered by the CCP. They agreed. After I returned home, I arranged for a fellow practitioner to install the NTDTV station for them, and they were very happy to be able to get real news.

People are awakening and they are ready to withdraw from the Party and all its organizations.
