(Minghui.org) Today's news from mainland China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested .

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Di Jianchao and Mr. Luo Jiangqin Detained

Mr. Di Jianchao and Mr. Luo Jiangqin were arrested at home by officers from the Panlong District on February 24, 2014, for producing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Di and Mr. Luo are being held at the Panlong Detention Center and the Kunming City Detention Center, respectively.

2. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Yuhua, Ms. Geng, and Ms. Wang Zhiyao were arrested on the morning of March 5, 2014. Officers ransacked Ms. Liu's home and confiscated paper bills containing a message about the persecution of Falun Gong, Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs, a printer, and computer. They are being held at the Dongcheng Detention Center.

3. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Wang Jianqiang and Ms. Jia Xiubiao Detained

Mr. Wang Jianqiang and Ms. Jia Xiubiao were arrested in Cunrui Town on March 17, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Huailai County Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province.

4. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Ji Guozhen Arrested

Ms. Ji Guozhen, 62, was arrested and taken to the Taiyuan City Detention Center by officers from the Wenmiao Police Station on March 14, 2014.

5. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yao Qian Arrested

Mr. Yao Qian was arrested by officers from the Qidu Police Station on March 14, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qu Xiaoyu Detained

Ms. Qu Xiaoyu was arrested by officers from the Xingong Police Station on March 16, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Panjin City Detention Center for 15 days.

7. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Ying Arrested

Ms. Xu Ying was arrested by officers from the Hailin Domestic Security Division on March 17, 2014.

Mr. Lu, in his 30s, was arrested on March 10, 2014, and his whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] One Practitioner Detained and Two Practitioners' Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Huang Cuijin was arrested by police from the local town police station on March 16, 2014, and is being held at the county detention center.

Ms. Liu Mi and her husband were arrested by officers from the local town Domestic Security Division and Comprehensive Management Office on March 17, 2014. Their whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Ruwen Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Sun Ruwen was arrested on the afternoon of March 18, 2014, and her whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Shanghai] Mr. Wu Liang Arrested

Mr. Wu Liang was arrested by officers from the Caojiadu Police Station and Jinan Police Department in Jingan District on the morning of March 18, 2014. His home was ransacked.

Ms. Liu Yanhua and Ms. Wu Wenjin were sentenced to a ten-year prison term on March 12, 2014. They were taken to the Harbin Women's Prison on March 19, 2014.

13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhao Qingfen, Mr. Tian Enliang, and Ms. Li Yinghua were arrested on the morning of March 18, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked.

14. [Tianjin] Mr. Huang Liqiao and Mr. Feng Jingyu Persecuted

Mr. Huang Liqiao was transferred to the Tianjin Gangbei Prison on March 15, 2014. He has to use a wheelchair because of the torture he suffered in prison.

Mr. Feng Jingyu, who is being held at the same prison as Mr. Huang, was taken to a hospital because he developed high blood pressure.

15. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Yugen Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Wu Yugen, a retired high school teacher from the Linyi County, was arrested at his son's home in July 2011 and his whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Cao Yingchun was arrested at the Qingfuer District on the afternoon of March 11, 2014, for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs. She is being held at the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.
