Following Detention, Ms. Wen Cuijuan and Ms. Wang Xiujuan Transferred to Brainwashing Center

 (Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Wen Cuijuan and Ms. Wang Xiujuan, from Qianan City, Hebei Province, were transferred to the Qianan City Brainwashing Center, run by the 610 Office, on December 28, 2013.

Both practitioners had been reported to police for handing out calenders that contained information about Falun Gong. They were arrested on December 12, 2013, and taken to a local detention center.

At first, the detention center refused to accept Ms. Wen because she had symptoms of heart disease and hypertension. However, the police bribed some doctors from Yanshan Hospital, who then issued a certificate of good health.

The two practitioners were held at the detention center for 15 days. Lang Yuanyuan, deputy director of the detention center, beat Ms. Wen and Ms. Wang and slapped their faces because they refused to put their fingerprints on detention documents.

Torture re-enactment: beating

Instead of releasing them at the end of their term on December 28, 2013, officers from the Qianan Domestic Security Division then transferred both practitioners to the Qianan Brainwashing Center.

Brainwashing center officials twice refused to let Ms. Wen’s family see her. Her current status is not known, and her family continues to worry about her.

During the past 14 years, Ms. Wen has been arrested six times and held in a forced labor camp twice. Because of torture, she was diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure, which reached 240 mmHg. She was not released from the labor camp until she was in critical condition.

The Crimes of Yang Yulin, Director of Qianan 610 Office

Yang Yulin, around 49, is the director of the Qianan 610 Office. For the past 14 years, he has been in charge of the persecution carried out at the Qianan Brainwashing Center, which is operated by the 610 Office.

Hundreds of practitioners have been subjected to mental and physical abuse at the brainwashing center per his directive. Three practitioners were persecuted to death, 5 became disabled, 25 were sentenced to prison, at least 52 were sentenced to forced labor, and more than 17 were fired from their jobs or had their salaries withheld.
