Additional Persecution News from China – January 7, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Rong Detained

Ms. Chen Rong was arrested at the beginning of December 2013. She is held at the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center.

2. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Runlin Arrested

Ms. Liu Runlin, about 50, was arrested again on December 31, 2013. Her whereabouts is unknown.

3. [Yingshan County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Derong Arrested

Ms. Jiang Derong from Yingshan County, Nanchong City, was taken into custody by railroad personnel when she presented her identification card at the ticket counter in the Nanchong Train Station on the afternoon of January 4, 2014.

4. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Junze Arrested

Mr. Zhang Junze was arrested and taken to the Wenhuadonglu Police Station by the Wenhuadonglu Neighborhood Committee on December 12, 2013, for distributing Falun Gong materials. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, printer, DVD player, two copies of Zhuan Falun, Falun Dafa books, photos of Master Li Hongzhi and other items. Mr. Zhang was released that night.

5. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Chunhua Arrested

Ms. Lu Chunhua, around 60 years old, from the Longquanyi District in Chengdu was followed and taken from her home by about ten plainclothes officers on December 20, 2013. Her home was also ransacked.

6. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Yuxin Arrested

Ms. Chen Yuxin from Sitang No. 1 Village in the Baoshan District was arrested by officers from the Sitang Police Station on January 5, 2014, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

7. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Ms. Wang Yusi

Ms. Wang Yusi was taken to a brainwashing center by officers from the Dalian Domestic Security Division, the Xigang Police Department, and the Baiyunxincun Police Station on August 29, 2013. She was secretly transferred to a detention center on December 25, 2013.

8. [Beijing] Ms. Ge Lianna's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Ge Lianna from Hebei Province worked at the Henan Oil Field before. She was taken from her apartment in Beijing by officers from the Lugouqiao Police Station in the Fengtai District in July 2003. She was 28 in 2003. Her whereabouts remains unknown.

9. [Handan, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Changhua Tortured in Handan Prison

Mr. Wang Changhua was arrested on September 17, 2013, for putting up Falun Gong materials. He was taken to Handan Prison and shocked with electric batons. His skin was burned. He was not allowed to sleep for a long time and made to do hard labor in the daytime. He was severely tortured both physically and mentally.

Mr. Wang was released on January 3, 2014, after the guards extorted about 20,000 yuan from his family.

10. [Junan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Cuizhi and Ms. Hou Yuna Detained

Ms. Wang Cuizhi (5, and Ms. Hou Yu'na, about 45, from Matihu Village, Shizilu Town, Junan County, were arrested on January 4, 2014, by officers from the Xianggou Township Police Station for distributing Falun Gong materials in Wangxiang Village, Xianggou Township. Their homes were ransacked.

The two practitioners were taken to the Junan Detention Center. Their families went to visit them the next day but were not allowed to see them.

11. [Xianfeng County, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Yuxiang Arrested

Mr. Xu Yuxiang was arrested on January 5, 2014. His whereabouts is unknown.

12. [Chifeng, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Shi Xiujie Arrested Again

Ms. Shi Xiujie was arrested on a train on January 5, 2014. Her home was ransacked.

13. [Pengzhou, Sichuan Province] Ms. Gu Cuicui and Ms. Bai Guiyun Arrested

Ms. Gu Cuicui was taken to the town hall of Aoping Town by Yang Shaoqi and others from the Aoping Comprehensive Administration Office on the morning of January 6, 2014, for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong in Aoping Town, Pengzhou. Ms. Bai Guiyun went to the town hall to explain the facts about Falun Gong after hearing what had happened. She was also held, and her home was ransacked.
