(Minghui.org) I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner who has often faced difficulties when passing the test of lust. I finally realized that it was because I lacked true and strong righteous thoughts. I had been living by the deteriorating notions developed during these modern times, and had not cleansed myself with righteous thoughts. I indulged in human notions and attachments, and was thus not able to pass the real tests.
In a dream one night, I observed myself during a lust test as a bystander. Master only let me see it in a dream, but it was very real!
I saw my human body failing the test because I lacked righteous thoughts. I could hardly believe that I was watching myself, even though my image was there. The entire episode was so stupid and shameful.
The scene suddenly changed to a spacious field where I saw myself meditating. The body was tall and mighty, and I instinctively knew that this was my divine body. After a while, I saw another divine body of mine meditating nearby, which was even larger. A little further away, another divine body was meditating, and it was larger still. There were so many divine bodies lining up that I could not see the end. They became larger and larger as they went deeper and deeper into space.
The divine body nearest to me suddenly faced a woman. He was not moved at all when the woman tried to entice him. The divine body then prepared to eliminate the evil, but could not move. That is when I noticed that his body was tied with a thin rope. As a bystander, I wanted so much to help loosen the rope, so that he could eliminate the evil, but I could only helplessly watch the woman's sinister smile, while the divine body struggled.
Seeing this scene made me sad. I knew that the thin rope represented the human notions and attachments that I had been unable to eliminate, even though I knew about them.
Master said,
“Whenever a tribulation comes, you do not see it with the side of your original nature but view it completely with your human side. Evil demons then capitalize on this point and inflict endless interference and damage, leaving students in long-term tribulations. As a matter of fact, this results from an inadequate understanding of the Fa by your human side. You have humanly restrained your divine side; in other words, you have restrained the parts that have been successfully cultivated and have prevented them from doing Fa-rectification.” (“Expounding on the Fa” from Essentials for Further Advancement)
I was enlightened while writing this article that my divine bodies were the parts of me that have already assimilated to the Fa. The bystander was the part of me that has not met the standard.
Only by constantly studying the Fa with a calm mind, and controlling my every thought would my human part be replaced by righteous thoughts, and would I be able to eliminate the bad thoughts and behavior. I must diligently cultivate myself from now on, so that I will not fail the expectations of sentient beings and Master's compassionate salvation.
