Additional Persecution News from China - January 29, 2014 (7 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in seven cities or counties in six provinces. In this report, four Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least five practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Jiang Yu'an and Mr. Sheng Zhongliang Arrested

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Yu'an (in her 50s) was illegally arrested by the 610 Office of Jinhua City and officers from Jiangnan Police Station on the afternoon of January 24, 2014. They also took her computer, printer, and informational materials about Falun Gong.

That day, Mr. Sheng Zhongliang was also arrested while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Mr. Sheng is being held at Jinhua City Detention Center. There is no news about Ms. Jiang.

2. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Fuling's Whereabouts Still Unknown

Ms. Shi Fuling disappeared on November 10, 2009, and her whereabouts are still unknown.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. He Beinan's Whereabouts Still Unknown

Mr. He Beinan was forced to leave home to avoid persecution in 2003, and nothing is known about him since.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Lin Qingrong Arrested

Mr. Lin Qingrong, a temporary worker from Xiaji Township, Baoying County, Jiangsu Province, was arrested by security guards on January 28, 2014, in Changping County.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guilan Arrested

Ms. Wang Guilan from the Shenhe District was arrested by officers from Nanta Police Station on the afternoon of January 28, 2014, while she was clarifying the facts to people. Her house was also searched and ransacked.

6. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang Peilin Detained

Ms. Tang Peilin was arrested on January 16, 2014, and is now in Xiangtan Detention Center.

7. [Duchang County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Liu Qiusheng and Mr. Yin Yucai Detained

Mr. Liu Qiusheng and Mr. Yin Yucai were arrested on the morning of January 13, 2014, by police officer Huang Jimou and others when the two men went out to clarify the truth in Xubu. They are being held in Duchang County Detention Center.
