Additional Persecution News from China – January 22, 2014 (5 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces. According to this report, 2 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 5 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Huiping Passed Away due to Persecution
2. [Beijing] Ms. Wen Junqing and Ms. Lu Fuyun Detained
3. [Ningbo, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zhou Guobo Detained
4. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Ye, Her Husband and Ms. Wang Guilin Detained
5. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chuanzhen Detained

1. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Huiping Passed Away due to Persecution

Ms. Xiong Huiping was 60 years old. She went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in 2002 and was arrested by officers from the Xujiapeng Police Station and detained for two months.

Afterwards, she was sent to a brainwashing center for two months by her workplace management and was also held at Wuchang Detention Center for one month. She was beaten brutally. Her internal organs were injured. She vomited blood and passed out several times. She was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment twice.

610 Office personnel continued to monitor and harass Ms. Xiong until she passed away on March 15, 2013.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Wen Junqing and Ms. Lu Fuyun Detained

On January 19, 2014, Ms. Wen Junqing and Ms. Lu Fuyun from Sihai Township, Yanqing County were arrested by officers from the Sihai Police Station while they were distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. They are at the Yanqing Detention Center.

3. [Ningbo, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zhou Guobo Detained

Mr. Zhou Guobo was arrested on December 31, 2013. He is at the Ningbo Detention Center.

4. [Xiangtan, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Ye, Her Husband and Ms. Wang Guilin Detained

Ms. Deng Ye was arrested on January 16, 2014 and her home was ransacked. She and her husband are detained at the city and county detention center respectively. Ms. Wang Guilin was arrested on the same day and is at the city detention center.

5. [Jinan, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Chuanzhen Detained

Ms. Wang Chuanzhen, 65, was arrested by officers from the Dongguan Street Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong on January 19, 2014. She is at the Zhonggong Detention Center.
