(Minghui.org) Organ donation and transplantation is not an unfamiliar topic for the residents of Göttingen, Germany. A 2012 medical fraud case widely reported in the media educated the entire town: a local university hospital physician falsified his patient's records to cut in line for receiving an organ.
However, many of them didn't know about the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong prisoners of conscience in China, until they attended an information day event hosted by Falun Gong practitioners in the city center on November 29.
Upon learning of the systematic killing on demand policy of the Chinese Communist Party to eradicate and profit from its political targets, the locals' concerns shifted quickly from the definition of “brain death” and issues with organ transplant surgeries to “what can we do to help?”
Many signed a petition to call for the end of organ harvesting in China.
A couple stopped at the booth and took some materials to read. The wife said to the husband, “Live organ harvesting is happening in China. We have to sign this [petition] to stop it!” They took the time to learn more from the practitioners and gave their signatures.
Many students from the University of Göttingen also signed the petition.

In addition to the signature drive, practitioners also prepared some postcards addressed to Jinzhou Prison, a facility in Liaoning Province responsible for detaining and torturing many practitioners.
Quite a few people took the postcard and said that they would mail it to help rescue the imprisoned practitioners.
“What you are doing is very important,” one gentleman left with a postcard and some informational materials, “Please keep it up!”
