10 Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested in Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province

(Minghui.org) At least 10 Falun Gong practitioners from Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province were arrested between November 13 and 17.

The arrests were carried out by three officers from the Domestic Security Division of Qiqihar as well as officers from Fuyu Police Department and Tiedong Police Station.

The police did not provide any justification for the arrests.

Ms. Jing Guixiang (景桂香), about 50, was arrested on November 13 and taken to the Qiqihar Detention Center. She reported seeing plainclothes officers driving around in her neighborhood prior to the arrest. Her bedridden husband is now left with no caretaker.

Mr. Jiang Haibo (姜海波), about 40, was arrested with his wife at 6:00 a.m. on November 14. The couple were about to leave for work when several police officers broke in and ransacked their home. The police also searched the grocery store where Mr. Jiang worked. The neighboring business owners expressed outrage at the raid.

Mr. Jiang's wife—also a Falun Gong practitioner—was released, but Mr. Jiang is still in Fuyu Detention Center.

Ms. Kuang Weihua (匡伟华), who was employed at Guangming Dairy Co. in Fuyu County, received a call from the company's security officer, who asked her to report to work on the morning of November 14. Although that was normally a day off for her, she went to her office. She did not return home that day. It was later discovered that she had been arrested and detained in Qiqihar Detention Center.

Two Falun Gong practitioners who came to visit Ms. Kuang were also arrested.

Ms. Wang Aimin (王爱民), approximately 40 years old, was arrested and taken to Qiqihar Detention Center.

Two other practitioners, Xiaoping and Ms. Wang, were also arrested. The police extorted 5000 yuan from their family before releasing them.

Ms. Wang Yaqin (王亚琴) was arrested on November 17.
