Additional Persecution News from China – November 20, 2014 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 18 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Lin Hai Detained

Mr. Lin Hai was arrested at work by the general manager of the Zhijiang Power Supply Company, section chief Dong Tao of the security department, and Captain Yang Daohong and officers from the Domestic Security Division on November 17, 2011.Mr. Lin was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center the next day. He was beaten and tortured until his face swelled and two or three of his teeth fell out.

He was released at the end of 2011 and went back to work at the same company. However, his superiors refused to allow him to work full time, and he now makes 10,000 yuan less per year.

2. [Nongan County, Jilin Province] Ms. Xin Minying Detained

Ms. Xin Minying was arrested at home by officers from the Gucheng Police Station on the afternoon of November 18, 2014. According to inside sources, Ms. Xin was held at a detention center for five days before being transferred to a brainwashing center.

3. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Huang Chengjiang Detained

Mr. Huang Chengjiang was arrested and taken to the Zhuanghe Detention Center on November 18, 2014. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and stickers with information about the persecution. Police informed his family that he would be held for 15 days.

4. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xuemei Harassed

Ms. Wang Xuemei went to the Yuanbao District Court to support other practitioners being tried on the morning of November 19, 2014. Officers from the Liudaokou Police Station illegally searched her bag and found two volumes of Minghui Weekly.

Officers from the Dandong City Domestic Security Division and the Liudaokou Police Station later ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, a computer, and Falun Gong books.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Ailing Detained

Ms. Liu Ailing was arrested sometime between November 5-7, 2014. She is being held at the Weifang Detention Center.

6. [Gaotai County, Gansu Province] Mr. Hu Yaorong Arrested

Mr. Hu Yaorong was arrested around November 10, 2014.

7. [Yu County, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Fengjin, Ms. Sun Guilan, and four other practitioners were arrested for talking to people and distributing literature about the persecution of Falun Gong. They are being held at the Yu County Domestic Security Division.

8. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Wang Guangyue Tried Again

Mr. Wang Guangyue was tried again on the morning of November 24, 2014.

9. [Dongliao County, Jilin Province] Ms. Gu Jiumei Arrested

Ms. Gu Jiumei was arrested at home on November 19, 2014.

10. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Gao Baoyun and Mr. Wang Minquan Detained

Ms. Gao Baoyun and Mr. Wang Minquan were arrested by Director Yuan Jianping of the Jiaoqu Police Station and officers from the Yinyingkuang Security Section in the evening of September 9, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were taken to the Jiaoqu Police Station.

Police ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books and other personal items. Officers also stole approximately 100 yuan from Ms. Gao.

Both practitioners were transferred to the Yangquan City Detention Center by officers from the Qiaoqu Police Station the next day. They were held for ten days and released on September 20, 2014.After they were released, officers from the Yinyingkuang Security Section closely monitored them around the clock for two months.

11. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Juan Arrested

Ms. Chen Juan was arrested at work in the morning of November 19, 2014.

12. [Dancheng County, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Luan Aiying, Ms. Yang Qiaoyun, and Ms. Qian Yujuan were arrested at home in the evening around November 10, 2014. Police ransacked their homes.

13. [Shanghai] Ms. Liu Caifan Arrested

Ms. Liu Caifan was arrested and taken to Qingpu in October 2014.

14. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Wang Hongfen and Ms. Zhu Yuanhui Detained

Ms. Wang Hongfen and Ms. Zhu Yuanhui, both 64, went to talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Shiban Town on the morning of November 12, 2014. They were arrested and taken to a local police station before being transferred to the Xiaohe Addiction Treatment Center. They are being held at the Lannigou Brainwashing Center in Guiyang City.

Their whereabouts were unknown until November 18, 2014. Police still have not informed their families of their arrest.

15. [Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province] Shi's Whereabouts Unknown

Practitioner Shi was arrested by officers from Wolongshan Police Station on November 18, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Shi was taken to an unknown place by officers from the Jiaxiang County 610 Office on November 19. Shi's whereabouts is still unknown.

16. [Macheng city, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhou Yanju, Ms. Cao Guirong, Mr. Cao Shilin, and Ms. Yang Shufang were arrested by officers from Tiemen Police Station on November 18, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and helping them quit the Chinese Communist Party. They are being held at the Macheng City Detention Center.

17. [Beijing] Ms. Li Yan Arrested

Ms. Li Yan, 53, was arrested and taken to the Xifu Police Station in Changping District on November 4, 2014, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police later ransacked her home twice and confiscated a desktop computer and two laptop computers.

18. [Guangde County, Anhui Province] Ms. Huang Shifeng Arrested

Ms. Huang Shifeng was recently arrested and held for about a month. The police threatened her with the loss of her government job if she did not hand over 150,000 yuan.

19. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Xiurong Sentenced

Ms. Han Xiurong was sentenced to six years in prison by the Fengrun District Court. She was transferred to the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison on November 3, 2014.
