(Minghui.org) I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1997. During the past 17 years, Master has been continually purifying my mind and body. As a weak woman whose whole body was soaked in karma, I decided to dedicate myself to becoming a true Dafa disciple.
Reborn after Cultivation
Ever since I can remember, my body was racked with disease. My complexion was dark, and a mere gust of wind could blow me over. The most embarrassing thing was that I was always mistaken for an old lady, even though I was only in my 30s. I complained about my unfair fate and lost all hope.
In January 1997, I visited several practitioners who knew about my situation and introduced me to Falun Dafa. When they showed me a photo of Teacher Li Hongzhi, I suddenly felt something moving around my forehead. I borrowed the book Zhuan Falun and couldn't wait to start reading it. From then on, I attended the local group Fa-study and exercise practice. I now know why I came into this world.
My body became stronger and stronger, which strengthened my confidence. But in September, I developed a fever of 104oF (40oC) and lost consciousness. When my frantic husband advised me to see a doctor, I remembered a quote from the Fa,
“From today on, some people will feel chilly all over their bodies as though they suffer a heavy cold, and their bones may ache as well.” (Lecture Two in Zhuan Falun)
Although my entire body ached, I believed firmly in Master and the Fa. I knew that Teacher was eliminating karma from my body. My fever eventually subsided without my resorting to taking any medicine. My husband marveled, “I spent almost 600 yuan to treat my cold two days ago, and you recovered within hours without paying a cent!”
I became free of illness and walked swiftly like the wind. I can easily carry a 25-kilogram bag of rice up to the fourth floor. My face is no longer pale. I look younger, and today, nobody calls me an old lady, even though I am in my 50s.
Master said,
“Lay down your human, mundane mind,The Fa gained, you now stand divine,Break free, and depart, these Three Realms,And ascend to Heaven with a Buddha Body.”(“Salvation Far and Wide” in Hong Yin)
Master Saved Me From a Car Accident
I was hit and rendered unconscious by a motorcycle in June 2006. After being taken to an emergency room, my family noticed that I was bleeding from every orifice.
An expert surgeon from Beijing happened to be visiting; he performed a craniotomy and estimated that my chances for survival were slim. Even the most optimistic prognosis was that I would be unconscious for at least two weeks and then partially paralyzed for the rest of my life.
Nine day later, I regained consciousness and knew that my fellow practitioners had been sending righteous thoughts during those days. The next day, my thinking became sharper. I recalled a poem by Master:
“And though great the pressure, their wills are unbowedThere is no affect between master and discipleThe Buddha’s grace remolds Heaven and EarthWhen disciples have ample righteous thoughtsMaster has the power to turn back the tide”(“The Master-Disciple Bond” in Hong Yin Vol. II)
Although I was unable to move, I recited the Fa and sent forth righteous thoughts. On the 23rd day, I thought “everything should be normal” before I was taken to have a CT scan. My doctor was shocked by the results, which indicated that I had recovered completely. I was discharged from the hospital.
That same day, I started to do the exercises, even though I could not raise my right hand. The following day, everything was normal, and I was able to carry things with my right hand. To my pleasant surprise, I felt Master had healed my brain trauma. I was now able to recite the Fa more easily and concentrate better when I read. After witnessing this miracle, my family members further acknowledged the righteousness of Dafa.
I knew Master had saved my life and could not imagine how my family would have faced the disaster. After discussing it with my family, we agreed to ask the driver for only 40,000 yuan (including medical fees of 30,000 yuan).
When the driver said he was short 10,000 yuan and would have to pay us later, we decided not to accept any of his money. But he gave us 2,500 yuan anyway. First, my son returned 500 yuan; then I returned the rest. His family kept saying, “Thank you! Thank you!” I explained to them, “It was Master who taught me to act this way. We should thank him instead!”
My Whole Family Benefits from Dafa
Master said, “Haven’t I said that with one person practicing, the whole family benefits?” (“Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia”)
Ever since I became a Falun Dafa practitioner, my entire family has benefited. My husband and two children survived when their car rolled into a narrow gully and knocked down a tree. Even the car was unscathed!
Our car was later stolen, but after calming down and comforting my family, I sent forth strong righteous thoughts. The next day, the car was found at the foot of a hill.
My husband had a sharp pain in his abdomen. His doctor said that he was suffering from an intestinal obstruction and needed an operation. When the pain went away temporarily, my husband decided to go home. He later developed a fever. We sincerely recited, “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
His condition was miraculously resolved. My husband kept saying, “This is unbelievable!”
