(Minghui.org) It seems like the past ten years have gone by in a flash since The Epoch Times published the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Today, in China the Nine Commentaries has become very well known from the countryside to metropolitan areas, from your ordinary citizen to high ranking officials. Quitting the Party has gained momentum and now over 180 million people have quit their memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its associated organizations.
People are witnessing the unstoppable tide and that the CCP's destruction is inevitable. They have also realized that Falun Dafa practitioners are courageously working to save people from danger.
I first read the Nine Commentaries near the end of 2004. At that time it was a small brochure and hadn't yet been made into a book. Even this little brochure was hard to find. As people began to hear about the book, many searched for it everywhere.
After reading it at once, I felt my heart was cleansed. I suddenly understood why many events, such as the three years of natural disasters, the Anti-Rightist Movement, the Cultural Revolution, and the “June 4” student movement, had happened. After I read the Nine Commentaries I clearly saw: the CCP is not China.
Demand for the Nine Commentaries has come from all levels of Chinese society, and has led some 180 million people to quit the Party and its affiliates.
One day shortly after the Nine Commentaries was published I went to a furniture store. After selecting what I wanted to buy, I sat down with the owner for a chat. I could tell from his accent that he was from out of town. He was very warm and welcoming and poured a cup of tea for me. He first talked about business. After a while when there were few customers in the store, I transitioned to the topic of quitting the CCP. I said, “Since the Nine Commentaries was published, it has become very popular and is considered a masterpiece. Have you read it yet?” He smiled, “So many people come and go every day in my store. I read it a long time ago.”
He then told me his own experience of quitting the CCP. He said, “The Nine Commentaries is truly a rare, great book. I keep a copy of it. After reading it, I knew the CCP is really evil. Quitting it is the most important thing one can do, the sooner the better.” He said, “In the beginning, I wasn't aware that I could announce quitting my membership on the Internet. I just knew it was important.” So he asked a friend to take care of his store and traveled back to his hometown. He found the local committee where he originally joined. After many twists and turns, he successfully quit his CCP membership at the local committee. He later announced his quitting again on the Epoch Times website.
From his story, I clearly saw the power of the Nine Commentaries.

It is indeed so. Once the CCP's lies are exposed and the mask ripped off, people will escape its control and gradually find their true good nature.
In the summer of 2005, on my way back home I was passing a construction site and ran across an engineer having his lunch break. Since I knew the lunch break was short, I told him directly about the Nine Commentaries and quitting the CCP. He answered in a happy surprise, “I finally met you guys. I have read only half of the book and have been longing to run into a Falun Gong practitioner who can give me another copy.”
He continued, “My name is Zhang. Although I only read half of the Nine Commentaries, I realized I could not stay in the CCP any more. Meeting you today, please help me quit it using my real name.” He then told me that he had a copy of the book and kept it wrapped up to protect it. The next day he couldn't find it and thought a coworker probably took it to read. I could feel he regretted that he was only able to finish reading half of the book. I promised to send him another copy. From his story, I realized how urgent it is to spread the Nine Commentaries and help people quit the CCP.
I went to a local flea market in 2006 and saw someone selling books and magazines, among which I saw the Nine Commentaries book. The book had a light green cover and labeled for sale for five yuan. After about half an hour when I finished shopping, I came back and saw the book was gone. I asked the seller and he said someone bought it. And he said that if I were lucky I might be able to find another copy at the market the next day.
These are just a few stories I experienced. I know there are probably countless personal stories from millions of people who have quit the CCP. Behind those countless stories is the tremendous selfless efforts of fellow practitioners.
The Nine Commentaries is a sharp sword thrust into the CCP's heart. It is also like a spring rain cleansing people's souls and ridding them of the CCP's lies. After they read the Nine Commentaries, it's not hard for people to understand why the Party started the persecution of Falun Gong. Killing innocent people is a fundamental aspect of its nature. The deaths of 80 million Chinese people due to the CCP's persecution is a historic fact and clear testament to it's evil nature.
The Nine Commentaries is truly a historic textbook.
