Two Practitioners Imprisoned for Their Beliefs

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Sun Guiliang and Ms. Guan Fuqin from Ning'an City, Heilongjiang Province were sentenced in November 2014 to five years and three years in prison respectively. Both are imprisoned at the Heilongjiang Women's Prison in Harbin City.

Ms. Sun, Ms. Guan, Ms. Guan's husband Mr. Jiang Bo, and another practitioner were arrested on the evening of January 29, 2014, for making flags with Falun Gong information written on them. While the other practitioner was released on bail the next day, the other three were illegally detained at the Ning'an Detention Center for more than six months.

The three practitioners were tried on the morning of August 22, 2014, and no family members were notified nor allowed to attend the trial. Ms. Sun and Ms. Guan were sentenced in November.
