Additional Persecution News from China – November 21, 2014 (14 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Zhang, nearly 80, from Zhucheng was arrested by officers from the Development Zone on November 19, 2014. She was explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Wanjiazhuang. Her home was ransacked, and a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and an MP3 player were confiscated. Ms. Zhang was released that evening.

2. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Niu Xibao Detained

Mr. Niu Xibao was arrested at home on October 25, 2014. His home was ransacked. A computer, two cars, and cash were confiscated. Mr. Niu is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

3. [Qingdao, Shandong Province] Ms. Dong Xiumei and Ms. Sun Liping Detained

Ms. Dong Xiumei and Ms. Sun Liping were arrested taken to the Zhonghan Police Station for distributing calendars with messages about Falun Gong written on them on Liaoyangxi Road on November 17, 2014. Their homes were ransacked. They are being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

4. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Qiao Jihua Arrested

Zhang Wanrong, head of Xiguan Village in Pingding County, and officers from the Pingding Police Department arrested Ms. Qiao Jinhua on November 19, 2014. They ransacked her home and confiscated a DVD burner, a printer, a computer, and other items.

5. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Suyun Detained

Ms. Zhang Suyun, in her 70s, from the Yingzhou District was arrested on November 13, 2014. She is being held in the Fuyang Detention Center.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gao Yifen Detained

Ms. Gao Yifen was taken to a detention center on November 9, 2014.

7. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tang Huidong Sentenced

Mr. Tang Huidong was sentenced to 5 years in prison in Dengta Court.

Ms. Li Fang was arrested at work by officers from the Wuhan Police Department Domestic Security Division on October 13, 2014. She is being held in the Wuhan Police Department No.7 Division No.1 Institute.

10. [Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Li Jinan and Ms. Wang Chunrong Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Li Jinan and Ms. Wang Chunrong were tried in secret on November 19, 2014. They were both sentenced to four years in prison.

11. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Juan Detained

Ms. Chen Juan was arrested by officers from the Houzaimen Police Station in the Xuanwu District on November 19, 2014. She is being held in Shifosi Detention Center in the Pukou District.

12. [Beijing] Ms. Bi Xiurong Detained

Ms. Bi Xiurong, 65, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on October 21, 2014. She was taken to the Dongcheng Detention Center. Her diabetes worsened in the center, and she was transferred to Gongan Hospital in Beijing.

13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Guihua Detained

Ms. Yang Guihua was arrested for talking about Falun Gong on November 18, 2014. She is being held in the Jilin Detention Center.

14. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Hong Sentenced to Seven Years

Ms. Liu Hong from Huludao in Liaoning Province was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Xiqing Court of Tianjin on November 14, 2014. She was taken to the Tianjin Women's Prison.
