(Minghui.org) Ms. Cui is 37 years old. She grew up in a rural area in Yunnan Province and had come down with many illnesses, including Meniere's syndrome when she was young. After she started practicing Falun Gong, she returned to good health.
She distributed Falun Gong leaflets in her hometown, so people could learn the facts about the practice and the persecution. She also wanted people to hear the facts and the benefits one derived from practicing and being positive towards it. Therefore, she was illegally detained by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials.
Imprisoned for Practicing Falun Gong
Ms. Cui was detained in a detention center. She was a good person under all circumstances and the inmates in her cell admired her. For that they witnessed the extraordinariness and miracles of Falun Gong.
She told everyone that Falun Gong teaches people to be good. She explained that the CCP promotes “lies, cruelty and violence.” The CCP couldn't tolerate such a good practice and launched the persecution. One of the inmates, with the surname of Zhao, in her 30s was sentenced to four years in prison. She shared with Ms. Cui about her life before being imprisoned.
Her family were beekeepers. She had a brother who suffered from dementia. He got married and had a daughter who also suffered from dementia, so his wife left him and their daughter. Zhao’s parents were old and she was responsible for the livelihood of the family. The family held the title to their land. However, officials wanted to take the property and the farmland. She wanted to blow up the officer responsible, but got caught, arrested and imprisoned.
After listening to Zhao, Ms. Cui told her the Falun Gong principles, spoke of the reason of ones suffering and why we have ups and downs. She explained that for everything in life there was a reason. She asked her to recite from deep within her heart “Falun Gong is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” She said that a kind and sincere thought about Falun Gong could benevolently resolve her grievances.
Zhao asked her to write these words on a piece of paper. After receiving them, she recited “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good," several times, memorized them and because she was afraid that the police might see it, she burned the piece of paper.
At that moment a miracle happened. While the piece of paper was burning, the characters for “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance is good," were shining and glittering with a golden light and all inmates in the cell saw it. They were certain that “Falun Gong was miraculous!” All 13 inmates withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Telling the Facts of Falun Gong in Her Noodle Shop
After Ms. Cui was released from prison, she wrote an appeal's letter, which detailed the persecution she suffered and the benefits she received from practicing Falun Gong. She said that she changed from a rude and unreasonable woman to a good wife and mother because she lived by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
She opened a local noodle shop and used every opportunity to talk to her customers about the facts of Falun Gong and distributed a copy of her appeal's letters.
Business Owner Submits Appeal's Letter on Behalf of Falun Gong
The owner of a business always stopped at Ms. Cui’s noodle shop. As a Falun Gong practitioner she sold her noodles at a reasonable price, and they were of good quality and very delicious. Therefore, he frequented her shop whenever he was in town.
Ms. Cui gave him a copy of her appeals letter, and suggested he learn the facts about the practice and asked for his support. She also gave him a Shen Yun performance DVD, so he could also enjoy a presentation of China's 5,000 years of divine culture.
On his visit to the county township for business, he made sure to stop by Ms. Cui's noodle shop. As soon as he entered the door he told her, “You don’t need to worry, as the situation is changing rapidly. I have submitted your appeals letter to the City Court and you should hear something soon!” As a matter of fact, he had a relative working in the City Intermediate Court. He gave the letter to this relative and asked him to help Falun Gong practitioners like Ms. Cui.
Golf Course Owner: "She Is Leaving You Something Important, Please Accept It!"
A golf course owner who had moved to the area from northern China also enjoyed eating in Ms. Cui's noodle shop. Ms. Cui told him about the benefits she gained from cultivating Falun Gong, the facts about the practice and about the persecution she suffered because she refuses to renounce the practice.
This man was receptive to hearing the facts and had read the truth clarification materials she had given him. When in town, he didn't miss a single opportunity to stop at her noodle shop., as well as bringing his friends to eat her noodles. When she gave his friends the materials and DVDs, he said, “Please accept quickly, she is giving you something important, please take it!”
Villagers Said: “Falun Gong Is Good and Practitioners Are Wonderful!"
Ms. Cui’s prices are the most reasonable in the local area. She said, “As a practitioner, we cannot be greedy. The customers should always feel that the noodles they ate are well worth the money!”
However, there were still some people who could not afford the noodles at such low prices. For example, a bedraggled old man stood in her shop's doorway. He told her that he was from the rural area of a neighboring county.
He was poor, but still asked about prices of the noodles. He said, “So much money?” Ms. Cui thought, “As a practitioner we should be good people and should not only seek profit.” She gave him a big bowl of noodles. He loved it and returned for the next 15 days. She didn’t mind giving him a bowl of noodles. She realized that he didn't have the money to return home. So she closed her shop for half a day and took him to his home, all expenses paid by her.
On the way to his home, people were surprised to see her with this elderly man. She used this as an opportunity to clarify the facts. People listened, were touched and said, "Falun Gong practitioners are good people!"
At the entrance of the older man’s village, Ms. Cui gave the driver a copy of her appeal's letter before he left. Many of the villagers gathered around her and the old man. They said, “Why are you so nice? Where can one find such a good person these days?” She responded, “I practice Falun Gong and that is what turned me into such a good person!” Being moved, the villagers all said, “Falun Gong is good, Falun Gong is good! The people who practice Falun Gong are good people!"
Police Recognize the Goodness of Falun Gong
Several police officers came to Ms. Cui’s shop and she asked them to come in. She then sat on a stool in front of them and said, “You are just in time. It happens that I have a lot of things to say. I suffered from all kinds of illnesses before practicing Falun Gong and lived a difficult life. Nobody cared about me or came to visit me. Since I now practice Falun Gong, I have become healthy and my family has also become harmonious. But you arrested and imprisoned me. After I was released and returned home, you harassed me. Now please explain to me, why did you imprison me? Which law did I violate? Show them to me.”
The police were speechless. She gave them her appeal's letter, “Take a good look. I have consulted with lawyers and they told me that practicing Falun Gong is legal!" The police took the appeal's letter and read it.
She realized that it was about dinner time, so she said, “We practitioners have no enemies, and your coming today is predestined. I am inviting you to eat noodles!” She then gave all of them a bowl of noodles and one of them said, “Your noodle prices are so low and you cooked so much!” She responded, “Practitioners do not care for profit and money, we follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and we do business based on our conscience.” The police offered money for the noodles, but she politely refused. On leaving, the police whispered, “Falun Gong practitioners are really good people!”
