(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners displayed large banners for the Chinese communist leader's motorcade, on the afternoon of November 21, 2014, as it proceeded on a route to visit the Karaka Farm in South Auckland. The banners read, “Falun Dafa is Good,” and “Bring Perpetrators Jiang Zemin, Zeng Qinghong, Zhou Yongkang, Luo Gan, and Liu Jing to “Justice.” A practitioner said that communist head Xi Jinping saw the banners clearly.
Falun Gong practitioners' banners were displayed for the Chinese communist leader's motorcade during his state visit.
Practitioner Jinlong and about a dozen others knew that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) head Xi was planning to visit the Karaka Farm, and decided to protest the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong near the site. They arrived there three hours prior to the scheduled visit.
Jinlong recalled, “We met with a police officer and were asked what we planned do there. We replied that we were Falun Gong practitioners, and came to display banners and distribute flyers.”
He looked at them and asked, “Why are you here.” Jinlong replied, “We come here to show our peaceful request, because our fellow practitioners in China are being persecuted. We want to tell CCP head Xi the facts, and ask him to stop the persecution.” He said, “OK. I'll find a place for you.”
Jinlong said, “The officer selected a location that the motorcade would pass by, and asked us to wait there. After we unfurled the banners, a Chinese student group, organized by CCP Consulate, arrived.
“Our location is the best, and our banners were eye-catching. I saw two Chinese students talking with a police officer of Chinese descent several times in attempts to get us to leave. The officer came and talked with us. I told him that another police officer had asked us to stay there. I told him the name and title of the officer. We then explained to him the facts of Falun Gong and gave him a flyer. We also told him that the Chinese Consulate always dispatches people to block us in similar situations in other cities or countries.
“The officer said, 'I know who you are. I respect you.'
“The students saw that the police did not ask us to leave, so they came forward to attempt to block us. Seven or eight police officers stood beside us and asked them to stay in their location. They just stood in their location and kept some distance from us.
“At around 1:00 p.m., Xi's motorcade passed by. I saw clearly that he waved to us from his car. I waved to him too. We also shouted, 'Falun Dafa is good.' and 'Bring Jiang Zemin to justice.' Two CCP consulate officials appeared anxious from where they stood, but could do nothing.”
Many people were assembled in front of the Government House in Wellington at noon on November 20, 2014. Practitioner Ms. Zhang and her mother were standing in a junction about 300 meters away, holding a yellow banner with words printed in red, in both English and Chinese, “Falun Dafa is Good.” Xi Jinping waved from his car to the practitioners when his motorcade passed by, and saw the banner clearly.
