Additional Persecution News from China – November 2, 2014 (21 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 27 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shan County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yongmei was arrested by officers from the Shan County 610 Office and Nanguang Police Station on the afternoon of October 28, 2014. Mr. Zhu Ruigang was arrested at home that evening. Ms. Lian Cuilan was arrested at home on the morning of October 29, 2014.

2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners were arrested by officers from the Longgang Police Department in Daqing City on the afternoon of October 30, 2014. Two were released and five are still being held at the Daqing City No. 1 Detention Center, including Ms. Cheng Jinzhi, Ms. Li Junying, Ms. Wang Wenying, Ms. Zhang Jing, and Guo. The police ransacked their materials production sites, and confiscated large and small color laser printers, six adhesive binding machines, several computers, Falun Gong books, many informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and consumables.

3. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Guo Suying and another practitioner were arrested by officers from the Yaojiafang Police Station on November 1, 2014.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hou Yinzhu Facing Trial

Mr. Hou Yinzhu was arrested by officers from the Huanghelu Police Station in January 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police wanted to take him to an addiction treatment center, but the center refused to accept him because he is handicapped.

In February 2014, officers from that police station and the Domestic Security Division ransacked his home and confiscated computers and Falun Gong books. The police told his family that he had been taken to the Minyun Police Station. The police later tried to get him admitted to the Yaojia Detention Center, but he was rejected because he is disabled.

On October 27, 2014, the Xigang District Court called his family and said that the Procuratorate would put him on a trial in ten days.

5. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tao Xizhen Transferred to Local Detention Center

Ms. Tao Xizhenwas arrested on August 8, 2014. After being held in the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center for more than two months, she was recently transferred to a local detention center.

6. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhou Yirong Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yirong was arrested in late September 2014 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.

7. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. She Xianhui Forced to Have Her Blood Drawn

Ms. She Xianhui had her blood drawn at home by officers from the Weiqinglu Police Station and the local residential committee in August 2014.

8. [Dean County, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Wang Tianzhen Detained

Mr. Wang Tianzhen, in his sixties, was arrested and taken to the Gongqing Detention Center on the morning of October 29, 2014. He was held for 15 days.

9. [Beijing] Mr. Feng Tiezhu Died Due to Persecution

Mr. Feng Tiezhu died at the age of 55, in October 2011, as a result of physical and mental torture.

He was arrested and sentenced to two and a half years in prison during the 2008 Olympic Games, and released in 2010.

10. [Beijing] Ms. Feng Jinlan Imprisoned

Ms. Feng Jinlan was arrested in August 2011, and taken to the Zhongcang Police Station, by officers, including Yang, from the 610 Office of the Tongzhou Domestic Security Division. She was accused of using paper currency bills with messages about Falun Gong written on them. She was sentenced to an eight-year prison term and taken to Beijing Women's Prison. Her family is allowed to see her only once a year, so no one knows her current condition.

11. [Beijing] Mr. Feng Yougui Detained

Mr. Feng Yougui was arrested by Yang from the Tongzhou 610 Office and other officers on May 17, 2014, for using paper currency bills with messages about Falun Gong written on them. The police confiscated thousands of yuan in cash. He is being held at the Tongzhou Detention Center, and family visits are forbidden.

12. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wu Daomin Detained and Yang Arrested

Yang, 77, and Ms. Wu Daomin, 50, were arrested and taken to the Hetang District Police Department by plainclothes officers on October 27, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked Yang's home that evening and later released Yang after his family exerted pressure on the police.

The police ransacked Ms. Wu's home twice. They confiscated computers, printers, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, and cash. They are pressuring Ms. Wu to renounce her belief and won't let her family visit her. She is still being held.

13. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhang Zhengying Detained

Ms. Zhang Zhengying was sentenced to three and a half years in prison by the Wanzhou District Court on June 30, 2014. She was taken to Sanxia Prison in the Wanzhou District.

14. [Chaohu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Sun Chengfang Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Sun Chengfang, 75, was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center on the evening of October 27, 2014.

15. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xu Jiade Arrested

Mr. Xu Jiade, in his fifties, was arrested on October 31, 2014, for distributing informational DVDs about the persecution of Falun Gong.

16. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Dongyu Arrested

Ms. Liu Dongyu and her husband were arrested on November 1, 2014, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from the Fuleyuan Police Station later ransacked their home.

17. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Yuhua Detained

Mr. Li Yuhua, 64, was arrested on October 16, 2014, on his way home, by officers from the Hadawan Police Station. He is being held at the Jilin City Detention Center.

Mr. Jin Zigen and Mr. Song Jiafang were arrested and taken to the Xiaojun Brainwashing Center, Mr. Jin on October 28 and Mr. Song on the 29th.

19. [Jianping County, Liaoning Province] The Han Sisters Arrested and Harassed

Ms. Han Yuqin was arrested at home on October 30, 2014. One of her younger sisters, Ms. Han Yuzhen, was also arrested that day. Both are being held at the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. Another younger sister, Ms. Han Yulian, was harassed, and the police ransacked her home.

20. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Five Practitioners Arrested and Four Still Detained

Mr. Yuan Guangwu, Mr. Song Zhi, Mr. Feng Xincheng, Ms. Yang Yanyun, and Mr. Zhang Xianbin were arrested at home on July 17, 2014. Mr. Zhang was released, and the other four practitioners are still being held in the Yanta Detention Center.

Mr. Yuan has been handcuffed and shackled with a 40-pound chain around the clock, because he refused to cooperate. One of his arms is numb. He has also twice been subjected to the death bed torture.

Mr. Song has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for more than a month, and has been force-fed.

21. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manye's Appeal Dismissed

Ms. Yang Manye was sentenced to a four-year prison term by the Putuo District Court on August 29, 2014. She appealed to the Shanghai Second Intermediate Court and was recently told that the appeal was dismissed and the verdict upheld. She was scheduled to be taken to the Shanghai Women's Prison in early November 2014.
