(Minghui.org) I officially began to cultivate Falun Dafa in 2008. Due to Master’s compassionate care, I am still cultivating.
A Mountain of Resistance Disappears
After I obtained the Fa, Master purified my body. Within about a week, Master opened up my celestial eye and my celestial ears. My diarrhea, gastric hemorrhage, and heart disease all went away. However, it seemed that my progress was blocked by a mountain of resistance of solid granite. No matter how hard I tried to climb it over it, I always slipped back.
Through studying the Fa, I found I had attachments to fame and competition. I always spoke sharply and had no tolerance. I had a quick temper and was very demanding, not feminine at all. I rectified myself immediately after I understood the Fa principles. What I rectified:
I Returned Things
I returned to the factory things that I had taken. If my employees had given me gifts at holidays, I returned the cash equivalent in the name of their children and seniors. I also retuned the telephone fees that the employees had deposited for me. I took the bus out of town to return 5,000 yuan that I had been given because of my position, telling them, “I practice Falun Gong. My master teaches us to be good people no matter where we are.” I clarified the truth to them and they all quit the CCP.
I Gave Up Being Selfish
Once when I came back from group Fa-study, my husband yelled at me as soon as I walked in the door. (He had never raised his voice at me in the past): “What exercises are you doing? You have no feeling for your family, no sense of friendship, no love; you might as well just go become a nun!” I understood that he was helping me eliminate my karma.
When I looked inside afterwards, I found that I was still quite selfish. He was tired after work, and yet he was still cooking for me. So I changed. Now I help him cook everything he loves to eat. I also make tea for him. I stopped being demanding and bad-tempered. I learned to always put others first. I have since become gentle and kind. My husband surprised me by saying: “Falun Gong is indeed good. I want to change jobs so that I can have time to study the Dafa books.”
I Accepted a Lower Position with Grace
When the state-run enterprises were reformed to be private, our factory reduced its staff of over 3,000 employees to just 230. I was reassigned to a lower level post.
My supervisor said to me: “We heard that you practice Falun Gong, and you encourage the employees to quit the CCP organizations. You are a senior founding member of this company. We all acknowledge your great service, so we will assign you to do equipment maintenance. You can refuse the position it if you think you would lose face. I will give you one week to decide whether you want to stay or leave.” I calmed down and studied the Fa to try to find the answer.
I saw that this was helping me to get rid of my attachments to fame and profit. I had always supervised others, yet I was not willing to be supervised. This was the evil Party’s style of working. How strong my attachments were! So long as it does not interfere with my doing the three things well, I should be willing to do any kind of work. Everyone in the company thought I would make a fuss about it, and my supervisor even worried that I might make trouble for him, but I accepted the new position with grace.
In my new position, I greet everyone with a big smile. I diligently do my job with no complaints or regrets, and I listen to my supervisor. I always put others first by offering to do the dirty and heavy work. Those who've seen how I've changed commented: “Falun Gong practitioners are very unique, they are very tolerant and calm.” One director came to talk to me: “Give me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I want to ask my wife and sister-in-law to cultivate Falun Gong.”
I Overcame Sickness Karma
Once my lower back was covered with blisters. It felt like thousands of arrows shooting towards my heart and I dared not even breathe. I understood that it was eliminating my karma. I went to work as usual, taking one painful step after another to walk there (I dared not take the bus and get jostled about). My husband saw that I did not touch my meal, so he asked me why. I just said there was food at work. When I could hardly endure it, I begged Master to help me ease the pain a little bit so that I could just take a breath.
After three days without anything to eat or drink, I passed through the test. When I removed my clothes, I found all the blisters had turned purple. Later I found out that this affliction was a serious disease. Gradually I saw that the mountain of resisitance blocking my path was all gone, and what shown before my eyes was as boundless as the open sea and sky. To encourage me to be diligent, Master gave me a score of 100% with a comment: “Excellent.”
My World Changes from Bitter Cold to Overflowing with Life
When I began to cultivate, I always saw my world as cold and lifeless. After studying the Fa, I understood that, as Fa-rectification Dafa disciples, we are not just doing individual cultivation, we should carry out our mission to save sentient beings.
Clarifying the Truth to People at Work, Persuading them to Quit the CCP
I always go to any occasion involving people at work, be it a wedding or funeral. I take every opportunity to clarify the truth and help them quit the CCP.
Using my own personal experience, I talk about being persecuted, about Master being defamed, the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation, and the April 25th Appeal. I also mention disasters and the fact that Falun Gong teaches people to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Most people agree to quit the CCP right away. Very few don't, but I never give up talking to them.
Two people eventually agreed to quit after I clarified the truth to them over ten times. I won’t give up on anyone. I keep trying until they agree to quit. The drivers who deliver goods from Shandong to my company quit right away after I clarified the truth to them. With the cooperation of fellow practitioners, we have persuaded all but six employees to quit. In the future I will find a chance to clarify the truth to them.
Clarifying the Truth to Over 2,000 Employees Who Were Laid Off
Whenever a family has a banquet, be it a birthday, graduation, or reunion, big or small, I always have the chance to meet lots of people. I clarify the facts to them and persuade them to quit the CCP.
When my friends come back from Qingdao and Beijing, I go visit them. I say, “My Master asks me to save you.” And then I explain the facts and help them quit the CCP. They are all moved and thankful.
One colleague worked with me for 30 years, but her mind was so poisoned by the CCP that she just refused to quit the CCP. I took her to my home. With tears in my eyes, I told her, “It is I who did not do well. It will be my eternal regret if I cannot save you.” She was sincerely touched and eventually agreed to quit the CCP. She also took a Dafa amulet.
Spreading Shen Yun to Save Sentient Beings
I've found that it is important to tailor what I say based on the person's age and status. If the person is older, I say, “Hello Sir (or Ma'am), you look blessed. You must have lots of children and grandchildren. I have a very beautiful DVD that is a revival of 5,000 years of ancient civilization. You can take it home and watch it.”
If the person is using I cane, I offer to help and say, “It is better that you have your family members accompany you. No matter how much money you have, nothing is more important than good health.” Then I would hand the person a Shen Yun DVD. “This is a world-class performance--it will improve your health if you watch it.”
If the person appears educated, I say, “You look well-educated. I have a DVD of a world-class show that you cannot even buy. But I will give it to you for free, because I know you will be able to understand the deeper meaning of the show.”
To young people I say: “It's really good to be young. I have a priceless DVD of a world-class show.” After they gather around, I tell them, “I only have a few of them, so not everyone can have a copy. Please share it." Some of them will ask, “Don't you have any more?” I reply, “These few I keep for myself and my best friends. But you are lucky, I will give you one.”
Doing the three things has become part of my everyday life. I have Shen Yun DVDs, truth-clarifying DVDs, and software to overcome the Internet blockade with me at all times. I will keep saving sentient beings as long as the Fa-rectification does not end.
When I look at my world again, I can see joyful sentient beings, crops waiting to be harvested, trees laden with fruit, and all manner of flowers and plants.
After cultivating Dafa for five years, I have changed tremendously, which everyone I know can attest to. Friends who haven’t seen me for over 10 years react in surprise: “How come you look younger and more beautiful? You have the body of an 18-year-old, and you have a beautiful complexion. You don't look a day over 30! (In fact I am 51.) Please tell us your secret.” I say, “Just practice Falun Gong!”
Master has already pushed us to our very highest positions and bestowed upon us the great power of the Buddha Fa. All the gods admire us, because we are here with Master and are assisting Master in rectifying the Fa. Cultivation is serious and strict--it's not a joke. I understand that Dafa has deep, profound meaning. I know I have lots of human attachments but I will find them and eliminate them. As a Dafa particle, I hope Master will have more joy and less worry.
