Falun Gong Practitioner from Dandong Detained

(Minghui.org) A Falun Gong practitioner from Dandong City was {{illegally arrested} and her arrest was approved three days later. The family went to the police department twice to ask for her release, but to no avail. The police will start a criminal investigation to collect evidence against her.

Ms. Liu Huiying (刘慧英) is currently held in the Dandong City Detention Center.

Over a dozen officers broke into Ms. Liu's home around 11:00 a.m. on October 8, 2014. They ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and materials, a computer, cell phones, and other personal belongings. They arrested Ms. Liu and her husband who is not a Falun Gong practitioner.

Ms. Liu and her husband were taken to the Dahushan Economic District Police Department in Dandong City and interrogated. Her husband was released around 5:00 p.m. Ms. Liu was taken to the Dandong City Detention Center that evening.
