I'm a 75-year-old Dafa practitioner from Sydney. I would like to report to Master and share with fellow practitioners some wonderful experiences of saving people. I'm also writing this article to validate the Fa.
In the last few years, I've focused on clarifying the truth at tourist sites.
Master said:
“There is an increasing number of tourist groups from mainland China nowadays. This is an arrangement for people to hear the truth in a different setting. Our truth-clarification sites are, in fact, the front line—the front line for clarifying the truth.” (“Teaching at the 2013 Western U.S. Fa Conference”)
I can feel the urgency to save people and try my best to clarify the facts and save people at these tourist sites.
Master also said:
“... study the Fa well, and, with a foundation laid by your having cultivated well, your righteous thoughts will naturally grow stronger and you will surely do well with what Dafa disciples are supposed to do.” (“Greetings” in 2009 in The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)
I've been incorporating the improvements I've made in my cultivation and studying the Fa together with clarifying the truth and saving people. I use the Fa to decide between right and wrong whenever I encounter problems. I look within when faced with conflicts. My xinxing is gradually improving and the number of people who are saved when I clarify the truth is also increasing.
Saving People Compassionately
Master mentioned that many of the heavenly kings reincarnated in China so it's important to save them. But Chinese people have been deeply poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) lies in that harsh environment. Some tour guides and tour group leaders intimidate the tourists, making them afraid to listen to the truth.
I understand that it's not easy for the tourists, so I use compassion to talk in a way that they can accept, to let them feel that Dafa disciples are really doing this for their own good, and to help them develop kind thoughts as they listen to the truth.
Master said:
“...when you talk with a person you will be emitting energy outwardly that dissolves evil things, and the evil in other dimensions will not dare to approach or control that person anymore.” (“Fa Teaching Given in Manhattan”)
After I understood the importance of clarifying the truth, I no longer emphasized the number of people that quit the CCP. I know that as long as one person understands the facts, he will tell others and help them understand the truth.
When explain the facts about Falun Gong, I look into the tourists' eyes with compassion, observe their psychological changes, and adjust what I'm saying until they understand. I'm not moved when I hear verbal abuse. I've found that if my thoughts are righteous, the result is good.
People Are Waiting for Us
When I talk to tourists, I treat them like my family members. I talk to them with calmly and with compassion, either to an individual or to an entire family at one time. Particularly if I'm talking to someone standing in line, it's a good idea not to speak too loudly. The people at the back watch me intently while I speak to those in front. When I come to them, it seems that their expressions are saying, “Finally, she's here!” and they listen attentively. I often see their knowing smiles, and they are pleased to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its organziations.
Once I came to one family, before I even started to talk, the son asked me, “Are you with that family up front?” I told him that I was there to tell the truth and help them quit the CCP so that they could be safe. The family was happy to hear this. They listened attentively, agreed to quit the CCP, and thanked me once again.
The Elderly and the Young Are Also Waiting
I've found that it's easier to talk to the elderly and that they are more likely to quit. Perhaps it is because I'm older, too, and I understand that they need more care and attention.
As for children, we understand from the Fa-principles that their primordial spirits might not be so young. Usually when I see a family with children, I greet the children first, and the adults are happy that their children are the center of attention.
I came across children aged 2 months to 3 years or so and greeted them. First they looked at me and smiled. Their smiles drew the adults’ attention, and it became easier to communicate with the adults. I could then clarify the truth and successfully persuade them to quit the CCP.
Clarifying the Truth to Other Ethnic Groups
Saving Chinese people is the main focus. When there is an opportunity, I clarify the truth to people of other ethnic groups. If they understand Chinese, I can clarify a little bit more, ask them to remember “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” and tell them to relay the message to their families. I also tell them to get on the Internet to learn more about Falun Gong.
One day, I clarified the truth to a group of military officers from Singapore. Half an hour later, we met again and they greeted me warmly. A few of them ran over to take a photo with me. Taking photos is common among Chinese and Westerners. Their knowing sides are happy!
Magnificent Changes in People Who Understand the Truth
In the course of clarifying the truth, I've noticed that those who have understood the truth change – their eyes become brighter, their complexion glows, and they are in good spirits. When they see me again, they greet me and show their gratitude from the bottom of their heart. I have many such examples.
1. In the spring of 2008, I clarified the truth to one of my colleagues on a bus in China. After getting off the bus, he stood with more than 200 people. When I looked at him, I saw that he was quite different from the others – his face was glowing! This is what happened.
When I was illegally brought to trial, a judge read four people’s “written testimonies,” and one was from that colleague. I thought: "I sent those four people informational materials. I didn't destroy my record of their addresses in time when I was arrested, and this caused them trouble." I told myself I had to look for them in the future and save them.
When I got out of jail, I contacted this colleague, but he didn't dare come to my house or meet me anywhere. A few months passed and it still bothered me.
Later, at a company event, I rode the same bus with him, and I clarified the truth to him for two hours. He understood everything and agreed to quit the CCP. He even asked me to help his wife and children quit, too. I believe that Master arranged everything.
2. Last summer, I chatted with a middle-aged man sitting on a bench beside the Opera House. He told me that he was a sailor from the US and traveled to Australia once a month. He said he was not a CCP member.
I thought, “Even though he did not join the CCP, he still needs to know the facts.” I clarified the truth to him for half an hour. He asked, “Do you have any brochures?” I told him I did and was prepared to give him a copy. He said, “Give them all to me! I'll bring them home with me.” I gave him all I had.
As he stuffed them into his pockets, he asked, “Any more?” I told him he could get more from the Quitting the CCP booth and he went there.
I saw him again a month later. He looked much better with a rosy face. I told him, “You are blessed!” He replied, “Yes, I am! I feel very healthy!”
3. Once I saw a couple with a baby. They told me that he was 8 months old. I could tell that the baby was suffering from the many red sores on his face. I clarified the truth to the couple, and they agreed to quit the CCP. I told the baby to remember “Falun Dafa is good” and he looked at me intently.
The red sores were gone from the baby's face when I saw them half an hour later. There was only a faint redness if one looked closely. I told the father, “Look at your son! I nearly couldn't recognize him! Remember to say 'Falun Dafa is good' with your son!” The couple were quite happy that Falun Dafa was so good and quitting the CCP was so amazing.
4. A young lady was standing near the Opera House looking at the ocean. I could tell that she was kind but her face looked pale. She told me that she was from Qingdao City in China and that her husband was a Westerner.
I clarified the truth to her and she listened attentively. She agreed with me and quit the CCP. I told her, “Tell your husband to remember 'Falun Dafa is good' and he will have a good future.” She was happy and hugged me before parting. She said, “I'm so fortunate to meet you today!” I saw that her face was glowing. She had chosen a good future.
5. Once I went up to a middle-aged man, and, before I could even open my mouth, he said, “I agree to quit the CCP!”
Righteous Thoughts Eliminate the Evil
I occasionally encounter tourist guides or tour group leaders whose minds have been poisoned by the CCP and talk nonsense. I do not argue with them, but neither do I allow them to poison others and harm themselves.
Usually I send forth righteous thoughts to remove the evil elements behind them. Sometimes if I come across a person who is especially poisoned, I hold up my palm and send compassionate and righteous thoughts near him. I often see that he will not dare to look into my eyes, and after a few seconds he stops talking and walks away.
Once I came across an elderly man who wanted some warm water. As I was talking with him about water, the tour guide started to yell at me frantically. I thought, “I can't let the evil prevent people from being saved! I must send forth righteous thoughts!” I asked him loudly, “What's wrong and why are you talking that way?!” The tourists didn't expect me to respond that way, and all their eyes were on me.
The tour guide suddenly became silent, lowered his head, and walked away. I know that the evil elements behind him were eliminated and could no longer control him. There is hope for people to be saved! It was the power of righteous thoughts that Master has given us!
I then started talking so that everyone could hear. I was talking in a compassionate and calm tone. I said, “Do you know about Falun Dafa? Falun Dafa is a Buddha Fa! I'm telling you the truth so you can be saved when catastrophe comes. Quit the evil CCP and its affiliated organizations to be saved!” Many of them agreed, some nodded their heads, and some were whispering among themselves.
After finished, I said to everyone, “I'm sorry for my loud voice just now.” Someone responded, “No worries, we understand.” I lowered my voice and walked up to the tourists one by one, encouraging them to quit the CCP. Most of them were glad to.
Conclusion
The great power of Dafa can be seen everywhere. Let's work hard together and do the three things well.
Study the Fa, cultivate ourselves well, and save more people, so that we can be a qualified Dafa disciple worthy of the title and fulfill our vows and thank Master for His grace!
